    To my target,

I hope you don't mind if it takes a little while longer for me to ship. Work has been destroying me, but the end is in sight. It might just work out to your benefit too. You see, I have a problem. I like to buy beer. Frequently. And the more I buy, the more I'll have to send away for fear that my wife may discover my problem...

While I certainly enjoy my IPA's, and will likely never get enough of them, I have been drinking more stouts and porters lately. Do you experience the same shift in seasonal preferences where you live?

Hint #? My box or boxes will also be going south from my location. As stated earlier it will travel between 700 and 1,000 miles. I will cut that distance by roads to between 700 & 800 miles from door to door

I am still at 11 possible senders. I need hints!!

My only problem with this is why would we want to limit ourselves to one medium when so many delicious things come in bottles as well? We shouldn't discriminate on bottles

It's just about creativity in building a box, and breaking people out of the mindset that "craft comes in bottles, bmc comes in cans" that so many hold onto (I know I do to some extent, but I'm trying!) As a bonus, cans tend to be easier/cheaper to ship.

Conceptually I like the idea a lot, I just know there's only a couple breweries in my area that can, and they're decent at best.

Oh, I certainly agree and am not hating on cans at all. I just wouldn't want to restrict a BIF to just cans, or just bottles for that matter. I would however want to restrict it to just great beer  I wouldn't have a problem shipping some awesome cans from my dristro, but I know a lot of breweries are stilling putting most if not all their allotment into bottles and kegs.

Minnesota just went through a big can phase so a lot of craft breweries are in cans, not too difficult here.

It's an interesting gimmick BIF, we even have a beer festival here that is cans only.

Soon to change. Already got Troegs, Sly Fox, & Round Guys. Tired Hands and Pizza Boy are both planning on canning in the near future. I think Saucony Creek is doing some cans, too.

LIF update, box is expected to arrive Wednesday. If comments in this thread added you extra chances in winning, I'd say your odds were better than most.

Glad it made it there safe, The Fegley's is a great BA Stout. Another local beer with an unfair mid 86 rating.

Hint #1: Shipped to a state that joined the union before mine
Hint #2: Shipped to a state where the Rolling Stones have played live
Hint #3: Shipped to a state with more consonants than vowels in its name
Hint #4: Shipped to a state where The Doors played more than a dozen times
Hint #5: Shipped to a state where the Beatles played live
Hint #6: Shipped to a city with more than one daily newspaper
Hint #7: Shipped to a city that was once the capital of the US

I think that should narrow it down to one recipient. If not, I'd appreciate it if one of you spreadsheet-wielding ninjas could let me know and I'll post another hint.

Scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. (Hopefully intact – the box is a bit on the overpacked side.)

It only took UPS a week to travel 980 miles, but finally Boxes are out for delivery in Madison.

My target will get some cans. I had a hard time being convinced they were fine but now if I am confident about the brewery, I will buy cans from them. Also, it keeps the precious hops fresher for longer.

Yeah this would be a good "summer sixer" style BIF for us, get some Gandhi Bot, OTWOA, Jai Alai, Heady, Ska, Revolution, Surly, 21A, Sixpoint, there's definitely lots of great breweries doing cans, so in a "summer sixer" format, you could focus on one or two specific beers, a couple cans each, and it'd work. In a full-blown BIF I would run out of ideas quick.

Totally agree with this, BA Insidious is like "BCBS Light" and is really tasty.

I don't know how many times The Doors have played here, but if that doesn't rule it out, those clues all point to Philly.

Would love to, but I'm already doing the 12 Days of Christmas BIF and that, with Round 3 here are gonna eat up my budget for the rest of the year.

To my target: A certain highly-ranked seasonal will not be released until next week. As this was one of the growlers I wanted to include, your package will not ship until the 27th - likely with three growlers from three breweries (plus 300+-oz of bottles).

As you have stated you are clueless as to the identity of your sender, a final hint: You are located about half an hour from two major airports.

I completely agree, It has a lot of BCBS qualities without the respect.
