Jai Alai for heady

more than fair, i'd say. dudes usually try to get a lot more for heady.

 

Seems fair to me, simple enough .

 

id think it would be simple...but ive been offering stuff like FFF broo doo and rum barrel oil of aphrodite and all ive gotten are crickets....

 

Both world-class IPAs. Win/win. Do it.

 

IMO HT is a tough pull only because if your offering up ipa HT is about as good as it gets anyway, no reason to trade for IPAs . HT isn't rare or hard to get if your in the area but it's hard to pry loose.

 

Before the whole #WhalezBro epidemic...my standard trade used to be 12 jai alai for 4 pliny....now its all about finding the right person...

 

nc41 is right. I like Jai Alai, but for my taste Heady is a lot better. Just no point in trading it out when I can get a few Jai Alai a year from friends anyway..It gets up to NY so not crazy hard for us NH (or Vermont) folks to get.

 

^^^^ I think you would be better served to offer up brews not available in the region. Maybe stouts or sours , if I was a local flipping HT for Most any ipa wouldn't interist me a bit, and there's always HF too. Ny/ vt distro is really solid and extensive .

 

You also have to remember, a lot of times the people trading HT are in VT and surrounded by other world class IPA's in addition to HT. The last thing they may want/need is another IPA, that in my opinion pales in comparison to HT to begin with.

 

At the BA Sexual Chocolate release I heard the Whalzbro yells. Sorry basc isn't a whale.

Its not BCBS, but I'd disagree that it's not good, lots of people like it obviously to drive from PA and or Fla. I would prefer it to be a 13% brew, I would prefer a chewier stout, but at 9.75 ABV its a Bourbon Bomb which I like.

I couldn't even trade Jai Alai for Hop Drop N' Roll, so I don't know about HT.

 

Its not that Jai Alai isn't a really good IPA, but I can't see trading IPA's at the level of HT or HDR. Time and expense doesn't work real well, not unless you catch someone who's a jai alai virgin.

 

But Jai Alai is better than HDNR

 

I don't think Jai Alai is nearly in the same class as Heady. Too malty and muddled on the finish. Maybe someone with Heady feels differently.

Not to mention, it can be ordered online from Lueken's. They currently have 10/4/14 available.
