So my cousin and two friends decided to take a men only trip up to Watkins Glen for the weekend to attend the Finger Lakes beer fest. I was just wondering if anyone has attended this event before and has any feedback on it. Also it says 15 NY state breweries.. but I couldn't find any list of confirmed brewers. I would assume the big boys would be there Ommegang, Brooklyn, Southern Tier, Ithaca.. would be nice to see someone like Captain Lawrence or Peekskill there. So any info or suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

    Cheers

Tom, I'm holding the ad-flier for this event at The Glen right now. It says "25+ NYS Breweries, Food, Music", and the breweries listed are:
    So.Tier
    Ellicottville
    McKenzie'sCider
    Goose Isl. (nys?lol)
    LakePlacid
    ShockTop (again, this is sad)
    HorseheadsBrewing (holla)
    HazlittCider
    Pyramid (wtf)
    MagicHat (oh lord)
RoosterFish (now this I would attend to get, finally)
    ClimbingBinesCraftAle
    Abandon
    CortlandBeerCo
    BirdlandBrewing
    WagnerValley
    StarkeysLookout
    RoguesHarbor
    FingerLakesBeerCo
    Ithaca
    BrewPaw

    Polka bands, Oktoberfest costumes, etc.

Should actually be a fun time, but from the perspective of getting awesome or hard-to-find beer it is lacking.
I am 90 minutes away, and have no intention of going at $40 a pop. If Peekskill/Barrier were there and it was, say, $25 a pop it might be hard to keep me away. Have fun.

Yeah it is a pricey event for the limited breweries there and I really wish peekskill was gin a be pouring at it. But regardless still gonna be a fun guys weekend away! Tha is for the information I greatly appreciate it!
    Cheers
