    Well, however you managed it, it's an extremely welcome box – I've got a fairly decent stout/barleywine cellar, but almost everything you sent has never been in it.

    I had no idea someone was making a coffee pumpkin ale, but in retrospect it seems like an obvious (and tasty) pairing!

    The answer should be any of these, please and thank you!

    You did miss a story, but it honestly is not one worth rehashing. I don't think the posts are gone if you want to read up, but honestly it's better left as an old in-joke at this point.

    I agree. I like shipping 32oz growlers. Safer to ship and easier to drink. The only problem is that regardless of size, drinking multiple growlers before they start to loose quality can be an issue.

    Growlers are also a little less awesome in Houston, since we don't have any breweries where we can fill straight from source. We have separate stores and bars for growlers, but the selection for local breweries is very limited.

    It is a cool idea though, but maybe more like at least one growler is required.

    I shipped a few 32 oz growlers -- one was easy, because it was the small "peanut butter jar" shaped type and fit (barely) in a styro shipper I was returning -- although I actually still don't know whether the beer was good when it landed. The first two were the wine-bottle size/shaped ones with swingtops; I know they got there safely but I was ridiculously obsessive about packing and padding (and actually had the growlers in the box at an angle with padding all around them). So the box size to beer (and therefore shipping cost to beer value) ratio was pretty high.

    I did receive a 64 oz one in the mail that worked fine (minor leakage), but I can just imagine something coming loose and a LOT of deliciousness being wasted.

    I like the idea of a growler based round but I agree on the large growler question - I once traded for multiple growlers from Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery and had a difficult time getting through everything in a reasonable amount of time.

    Though Minneapolis Town Hall is probably one of the breweries that it wouldn't have mattered all that much since they counter-pressure fill all of their growlers I believe.

    I sent my first 2 growlers out Monday. Hopefully @edhizdeid can confirm their status soon. Unfortunately, I was out of electrical tape, be careful getting that duct tape off...

    Tired Hands beers tend to be a little lightly carbed, so don't sit on them too long.

    So, there will be some Tired Hands in my LICC ME box?! My day has improved quite a bit. However, I will have to wait until tonight to get to the growlers and see how they shipped.

    Because I added some beer from a brand new brewer(I was at their grand opening, Saturday), there is an extra beer, too.

    @cultclassic89 I disagree with you, Yellow Rose and Live Oak Hefe both bring draft only (for now) makes HOU great for growlers, from the source or not.

    @devilfluff dat pear gose....mmmmm

    Fortunately, I don't have a porch to repair! I may need to reseed the grass after the fireball explosion, though.

    Yeah, but those are the only two really worth doing most of the time. And now that Yellow Rose is bottled, it makes it less so. I wish we had breweries to go to that we could get cool fills at, like a lot of other states.
