Awesome yea I noticed the hack job was hoping that was something you had done and figured not. We have an American Bulldog/Pitbull mix (Thor) and a Boxer/Pitbull mix (Rousey). Awesome dogs!

Meetings are over, and a box awaits!

After properly unpacking everything (I'll say the box was packed to withstand a bomb attack I believe):

Really glad to see a good amount of Fremont stuff in here. Haven't tried much of there stuff before (and haven't had anything more than 1-2 ounce pours of that) and really looking forward to it.

Fremont Cowiche Canyon Fresh Hop Ale - Had this at Rare Beer at GABF and really liked it. Glad to have my own can!
Hair of the Dog Adam - This one is batch 91. I have a batch 92 on my counter. Will be interesting to see if I can tell any differences.
Fremont Bourbon Abominable - Bourbon barrel aged winter ale? Sounds like it'll keep me warm this winter!
Deschutes Black Butte XXVI - Had this at the brewpub a couple days after release and really liked it, but only brought home one bottle (really two, but one was spoken for by a friend of mine). Now I have a bottle to drink now and another to age!
Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee - Really wanted to try this one for a while and haven't been able to. So glad to receive!
Fremont Dark Star - Had an ounce or two of the Kentucky Dark Star and the Bourbon Barrel Dark Star at WTF? at GABF and liked. Very nice to be able to savor this.
Rogue Double Chocolate Stout - Second only maybe to Young's Double Chocolate in the category, this is pretty much the only Rogue beer I drink anymore. I do love some double chocolate stout...
Elysian Dragonstooth Stout - More stout and from a new (to me) brewer? I'll take it!
Ninkasi Vanilla Oatis - Only thing I really know about Ninkasi is their beer in the Sierra Nevada beer camp box, and that was, by far, the best beer in the box. Can't wait to try this one!
Fort George and The Beer Junction Black Sands - Only Fort George beer I've had is the Three Way IPA and that was awesome. This looks awesome and looks like my wife is going to love it (she loves sweeter stouts, amongst a lot of other styles)
Almanac Farmerss Reserve Pluots - I've been slowly, accidentally, collecting this series. I have Strawberry, Dogpatch Sour, Dark Pumpkin Sour, and Blackberry. And now Pluot! This will make a pretty awesome evening sometime soon
Prairie Bomb! - What's to say about this one? I had just enough at a bottle share at GABF to know that it was pretty awesome. So glad to get this and be able to try it more fully.

Not pictured (because I'm an idiot): A Ninkasi shaker pint glass.

All around a pretty awesome box of beers! Thanks @HoppySeb!

Not sure where to start. Many wants hit in this outstanding 312 oz porch destroyer. This is an amazing box. Many thanks to @Yohann

First were my fruit wants. I tell my wife that they have to be healthy because they are fruity. again all wants and cant wait to open them

now some CW wants. this is my second 16 so now I wont feel guilty opening one so I can save the other. Also Space Ghost is a want. I never heard of the BB La Petite Mort but I looks interesting. Plus the CW bag.
Smaller New Glarus wants and a Pumpkin want. Plus 4 New Glarus tasters.
Not sure why but I really am looking forward to the Dancing Man.

Sorry for the shitty pix. 3 more wants. Velvet Merkin, Olde Hickory Imp. Stout and Mololo.
    I love me some stouts

lastly my non wants....but at least one of them should have been.
Pseudo sue I'm not a big IPA/APA guy but I do like the top of the line ones and this gets a 100 (can't get much higher than that) on the site so I am stoked to try it. Also Howler gets a 92.

Thanks again @Yohann for this great box

I forgot to get a pix of the Gail Ambrosius chocolates. My daughter and I already had one and we will finish the others in the next day.

A little help needed. Are the NG Fruits better fresh or can they be aged?

To my target: I decided against bombproofing my box (I did buy a double walled box) so I could fit a lot more beer in the box. And did I ever.

Also I have no idea what's on the shelf all the way over where you live so some of the local treats, if not all?? might also be local to you. I'm sure the York peppermint patties you can find. If so, my deepest apologies but you'll have plenty of beer.

The NG fruit beers age excellently. I've had a Wisconsin Belgian Red that was 2+ yrs old and it was outstanding! However, that's my favorite of their fruit beers so I would just drink it as soon as I could!

Another vote for NG fruits holding up with some age. I don't think they particularly get better (but could be convinced otherwise), but I've never seen them fall off.

Also @HoppySeb sent next day air. You in a hurry bro?

A quick point to clarify - the Fremont Dark Star bottle is actually the Kentucky Dark Star - this year they didn't brand it as "Kentucky" I think because they used local bourbon barrels.

    Enjoy!!

I've finally finished unpacking. I'll post pictures when I catch my breath.

As far as I can tell, there was no damage. Of course, @Seanhand_atl used a box of giant zip locks, 2 boxes of Saran Wrap, 4 Sunday newspapers, and the remaining styrofoam from a refrigerator box to protect the contents.

Gail Ambrosius (yes, that's her real name) chocolates are so local that they're actually made in our neighborhood. She travels down to Columbia and Costa Rica and works directly with (and buys directly from) the cacao farmers there for her chocolate, and manages to do amazing things with it (not that surprising, as she trained with Valrhona and Cluizel in France before opening her business). They don't get wide distribution, but if you're in the area and like chocolate, it's worth picking some up. She does a Beer+Chocolate session every year at the Great Taste of the Midwest that's always standing room only. (Yeah, in addition to being a beer geek, I'm a chocolate geek.)

Anyway, to get back to your question: The NG fruits cellar very well. I've tasted a several bombers that were 5+ (in one case 10+) years old, and they were as good or better than fresh.

So first off, I'm super jealous; I miss my buddy. Secondly, I will never understand why people feel the need to clip dogs' ears like that

There may or may not be a second box "in the works", albeit smaller... so, now that you know where those beers came from - you may want to let me know if there are any specific locals from WA/OR you want to try

    Awesome!

I'm certainly not gonna turn down a second box  Fremont seems like the big(ish) boy in town in Seattle, so definitely glad you sent those. I feel like WA breweries in general are so overshadowed by there OR brethren that I know little/nothing about them. I spent a week in July in Portland with my brother-in-law (a fellow BA'er) and drank through a decent bit of the town, but there's so. much. good. beer. in Portland that its ridiculous. People in Portland almost poo-poo Deschutes because its only awesome, not pant-shittingly awesome. I'll never turn down Ale Apothecary or De Garde, but I know both of those are also very hard to get
