Hey everyone - any idea when Parabola will be showing up on the shelves around the Boston area? I imagine it will be plentiful, much like FW15 and the Sucabas that are still around, but I want to be sure to get a few bottles because it is one of my favorites...

I think you're a bit early. Release is in a couple of weeks I think, but then we seem to steadily be getting FW releases 6-8 weeks after release. Late June is probably realistic...

And yeah, I'm guessing it will be plentiful. Even last year's Parabola drop was of decent quantity, and we seem to have gotten tons more Anniversary and Sucaba this year.

The distributors aren't speculating on what the drop is going to be, but I think you guys are on the right track due to Sucaba and FW15. Only 3500 Cases available + draft

3500 cases is pretty massive, assuming they didn't move Parabola to the 6-bottle cases. That's 42,000 bottles. Last year was about 24,000. Should be plenty...

There will never be enough to satisfy my thirst for Parabola...

What's up with Wookey Jack? Has that hit yet?

Last I was told was Wookey Jack would land mid-May and Parabola won't be here until the same time in June. With that said, I can't wait to see and stock up on both.

I agree on the plentiful nature of Sucaba and FWXV. I have been surprised to see them on the shelves at this point. I won't be running around trying to grab a couple bottles this time. And yet, I am confident I'll still get them.
(famous last words as the last time I had this attitude was several months about with GI BCBS.... those bastards)

It was pretty easy to find last year as it came in a few different waves. The first wave it got snagged up immediately. The second wave was on shelves in some stores for over a week. If the amount has increased as much as people are speculating, it should be like Sucaba, plenty of time to get some. I thought a lot of it came around last year in July, I moved in the first week of July and it definitely hit shelves a few weeks after that. Hopefully it makes it earlier this time around.

so starting to hear that other areas got shorted on allocations for this. It seemed like general consensus was that there was probably going to be more this year. I really hope we don't have another KBS situation here. Anybody else hearing anything?

Did you hear this from people in California? Because they've been whining about allocations ever since FW started distributing.

Seriously though - the Boston market has gotten plenty of every FW release thus far.

Founders spreads themselves insanely thin with their distro. FW is a bit more selective. Plus KBS has a much bigger demand than Parabola.

If it's anything like FW14, FW15, Sucaba, or Parabola 2011, we will be fine. I'm still seeing Sucaba and FW15 floating around in a few places in the Springfield area.

Saw the 15 around downtown today, no sucaba... no parabola, obviously.

Sucaba is still around, but I don't shop downtown.

There is always someone who says they heard x beer will be limited in the area that turns out to be entirely false.

I still haven't heard anything about Parabola or Wookey Jack. Not sure how interested I'm going to be in Wookey at this point considering its getting a lil long in the tooth...

I have an extra Parabola, are you near Boston?

I'd love to crack it and "match" a fancy beer someone in the area wants to open...
