Oddwood Ales Beer Release Party

    From their website: "Oddwood Ales is a brewing project focused on American-style wild ales. Our ales pay homage to European brewing traditions while embracing America's pioneering spirit. They are brewed with unique yeast blends, fermented and aged in oak barrels, and bottle conditioned to create rustic beers with exceptional character."


    The beer list for the event:

    Saison - Dry, tart, and funky farmhouse ale. Fermented in red wine barrels with a melange of yeast and bacteria. ~6.4% ABV

    Saison Cask - Dry-hopped Saison conditioned with Texas wildflower honey

    Sand Panther - Crazy sour wheat ale. Fermented in red wine barrels, we're calling it a Belgianner Weisse. Heavily dry-hopped for a good time. ~3.8% ABV

    The Prickler - Our sour wheat ale refermented with a load of wild, hand harvested prickly pears. 3 pounds fruit per gallon! ~4.0% ABV

    Mountain Giant - Beastly tart Belgian golden ale, aged and soured in rum barrels. ~11.0% ABV

    From Within - Less beastly tart Belgian golden ale, aged and soured in gin barrels with citrus juice. ~10.5% ABV

    Henry - Dry-hopped Belgian table beer. Mild and earthy, basically a palate cleanser! ~3.0% ABV

    I'd be there if Fun Fun Fun wasn't the same weekend. At least it sounds like we'll be flush with nice summer beers next year.

    I know nothing. I tried asking Taylor what was up with the beer/release party and he responded by growling and biting my arm. Not totally out of character, but still kinda concerning.
