    I don't know why, but I remember Newcastle being huge when I was in college in the mid-90's. Killians, Red Stripe, Red Dog, Boston Lager, Heineken, and echoing others, anything ICE. Maybe score a SA Triple Bock as a cruel giveaway.

    My memory may be fuzzy, but was Saranac putting out a variety pack back then? I somehow remember that being the first variety pack I bought, which notably included the Black and Tan that was interesting and weird and in demand back then.

    Any Malt Liquor. Unless their heyday was the 70s or 80s - I can't remember.

    Or...serve anything and call it 'microbrew'.

    Yea, all the Aussies I know always say "nobody drinks that over here" I always reply nobody drinks that over here! But now I kind of want to go get one to check it off the list. I figure it will be just like every other mass produced lager.

    Came here to suggest Zima as well. If you can't find it, I suppose vodka mixed with 7-up will work just as well :wink:.

    I used to be with it, but then they changed what *it* was. Now what I'm with isn't *it*, and what's *it* seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you...

    Just play Nirvana, TLC and Spice Girls and have liquor and cheap beer on hand. No need to overthink it.

    As a younger person, beer and the '90s are both mutually exclusive to me.

    Now if you guys don't mind, I'm gonna go drink some Surge I ordered from Amazon while watching Stone Cold Steve Austin kick Mr. McMahon's ass on YouTube...

    Rolling Rock really took off in Europe in the late 90s!!
    Heineken could also be another good one to go for I seem to remember it being mentioned in Blue Velvet

    Although that was 86...:slight_smile::slight_smile::slight_smile:

    there was this weird thing where some of the Icehouses was labeled "Ale" and some was labeled "Beer." my friends and i always thought the "ale" version was higher abv (i don't think it was). buy Asshouse, aaaahhh, icehouse was definitely a '90s staple.

    Your suspicion is correct it is very like all the others...maybe not as bad as a Tsingtao but it is certainly nothing to write home about
