So, were they the first or the last of the 4?

If I were from out of town and staying 2 blocks from Great Waters, at say I don't know, The St Paul Hotel, and popped over for a beer or two I'd be content. Decent beer at decent prices. Are they Town Hall? Fuck no, but not many are. So maybe the OP should take a 40 minute train ride and go there instead.

Got some tickets now thanks to a very gracious BA and it looks like Tin Whiskers closes at 5 on Sundays so we will likely be focusing on Great Waters....nice walking distance from Xcel and I like their beers. I am not real familiar on other bar type places within walking distance. Seems Burger Moes would be jaunt from the time I was there but maybe I am turned around..

I really should go. I saw the Pumpkins there in 2007. Blew my mind.

Pearl Jam is incredible in concert. If you have any doubts you should go. It could be another 10 years until they are back.

Leaving today! Is there any local, great beer I may not have heard about that I should try?

    Thanks!

Where can I find Rum King and where should I eat tonight? Not looking for anything too pricey or fancy.

Rum King may still be on tap at Indeed or Pats Tap. I believe one other place had it, but can't recall.

I hit Red Cow for lunch today. Good selection, really enjoyed the Indeed mosaic fresh hops and day tripper. Burger was only ok, best part of meal was buttered, toasted sour dough bread!

Since it is Sunday, tap only. We don't have Sunday sales and just this past session were taprooms able to be open on Sundays. We almost got Sundau growlers sales, I think that will happen before Sunday sales. Yes, we have stupid liquor laws.

    You going home tonight?

I'm well aware of your caveman laws. I should have clarified. We're going home tomorrow. Staying right across from the arena.

OK, just making sure you knew.

I think you can find it. I don't know that side of the city as well, so hopefully someone has a lead for you. If you are willing to go north, I can give you two places that should have bottles.

Also, Indeed is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays.

I'm not sure if Rum King is on tap in Saint Paul, but both Red Cow and The Happy Gnome are just two miles from Xcel and have good food and great beer. The Happy Gnome is a bit pricier—$13 or $14 for a burger, but has a large craft only beer list.

Black Sheep pizza is in downtown Saint Paul. They have spectacular coal fired pizza and a small but quality beer list

The Bull Dog St. Paul has great beer and very well done bar food.

Cheers to everyone who suggested the Red Cow. Great stuff. I've been to the Gnome many times but had never had Todd the Axe Man...which was excellent.
