Going to California ( LA ) this weekend for the first time for a friend's wedding. The trip is going to cost me enough money as it is ( and the wife will be with me )so I can hardly go crazy when im there.
If anyone has recomendations for must tries that are widely available in LA ( they dont have to be exclusive to California) that aren't available on the east coast that would be awesome.
    Cheers Ba

Alpine, knee deep, Societe, pizza port, Russian River should get you started...as far as breweries go...have fun.

In LA, hit Bruery, Bottle Logic and Noble Aleworks. Also look for Pizza Port Swami IPA in cans.

"LA" is huge. Where will you be?

Lots of people posting here have no clue what you actually find in LA, so let us know where exactly you'll be and we can provide information that is actually useful.

none of those places are in LA

OP, you're staying in the Valley. not ideal, but we can work with this. will you have a car? if anything try to get to Tony's Darts in Burbank. great tap list of all CA beers.

Excluding Pizza Port Cans and Knee Deep, these are not widely available by any means.

Not in LA (Except PP Cans).

Valley and having a car will help. As Black_Rider mentioned, Tony's Darts would be a good start. Stout Burgers and Beers is close and seems they have some decent taps (Alpine Duet right now). Never been there personally so can't comment beyond that.

Technically not the City of LA, but it's the same metro and not that bad of a drive. Hell, even the Angles call it LA:wink:
