Never seen this BA.. The original is mighty fine.

Butcher is really nice.. Like many of Societe's beers, I wish they bottled them.

Cigar City's Marshall Zhukov is the probably the thickest beer I have ever had.

The thickest stout Ive had in along time is Black Market's Black Hole Sun

Its like th forgot to use water. Its much much thicker than Founders Imperial stout.
and at 15 percent abv its serious stuff but its not boosy at all and so dangerously drinkable.

Cigar City's Marshall Zhukov is only slightly thinner and also awesome.

And also there any vintage of (non BA) Three Floyd's Dark Lord. These aren't that hard to trade for anymore.

And my two cents: Oskar Blues Ten Fidy kills Founders Imp Stout Its thicker and better tasting. But Bell's Expedition (if you can get past the bitterness or age it) is about as thick and better tasting than Ten Fidy.

ET I love you with my stout. Any thicker and you'de drink it with a spoon. But its very tasty.
Imperial biscotti break is a little pricey but well worth it IMO.
old Rasputin is also super thick and relatively inexpensive compared to some other beers listed here.

BCBS by far over any other stout I've had so far.

On my 2nd ten fidy...only averaging one a night...I need to pick it up.
It does have a better mouthfeel than Founders IS, and pretty addictive in taste. Both are real good, but Founders is more affordable.
I still have a Doris in the fridge. Excited to try that next.

Having recently tried ten FIDY I actually prefer Founders Breakfast Stout by a little bit.

All of the stouts. All of them.

But, yeah, I mostly just lean on Ten Fidy and Expedition Stout if I need it super thick like an asian pornstar during the winter since they hit in the fall. If it's available to you, Epic's Big Bad Baptist has a crapton of body on it too. I do not know what season it actually hits in, I just know I'm happy to pick it up whenever I'm in Ohio and can find some.

I would start with Russian Stouts, which are inherently thick

    Bells Expedition Stout
    Marshall Zhuckov
    Stone Russian Stout
    North Coast BA Old Rasputin
    Brooklyn Black Ops
    Dark Horse Plead the 5th
    Firestone Walker Parabola
    Thirsty Dog BA Siberian Night

Two things. Don't forget the classic British examples of the style. In particular, Courage Russian Imperial Stout and Le Coq Imperial Extra Double Stout. I've had both recently and they were a couple of the most complex beers I have ever tried.

Also, look into some of the heavier "Imperial" or "Baltic" porters. I could list a fwe dozen examples but I hate typing on my phone. Start with Founder's Porter (cheaper and much easier to find than the IRS) see what that does for you and then go from there.

I see this so often and still have to scratch my head... Sure, Ten FIDY is a pricey 4-pack compared to some other other regular stouts, but it's FAR cheaper than just about ANY 22oz of RIS, and it's also 10.5% ABV (a good deal stronger than just about any other 4-pack RIS minus Pt5). People don't bat an eye paying $8-14 for a bomber, but Ten FIDY is half that price per oz.

Just because A is less expensive than B does not mean that A is inexpensive. I don't just bat my eyes at $8 bombers. I close them. Same goes for Ten Fidy. There are plenty of other stouts out there for less money that taste just as good to me.

That's valid, but IMO, there are more beers available in other formats that are more expensive per oz and lower in overall taste/quality than Ten FIDY. I'd also go so far as to say most people are more inclined to purchase bombers over four packs for no other reason than they assume it will be better quality, which is crazy. Packaging /=/ quality.

Have to +1 Evil Twin. Had an Imperial Doughnut Break last night and it was super chewy and tasty, although it is a imp porter you prob wouldn't know the difference.
