Goose Island Amps Up Bourbon County Brands For Black Friday Release

Here's a label clearly showing 1 pint, 6 fluid ounces. Since getting labels approved is a bitch I'm guessing it's on the real.

It hit VT on Black Friday last year but the two places we found had it for $25 and $27/4 pack. We held out and it hit NH at least a week later and we got it for $19/4 pack with a whole 4 pack limit.

NH is quite a ways behind national distro as Parabola didn't hit until July this year. Ha.

 

They've also done other barrel variants, which have been available at a number of events - notably Buffalo Trace bourbon and Templeton Rye whiskey.

That's why I think it'd be awesome to try it from barrels of an entirely different spirit altogether.

I'd be more than content with a 4pk of each and a bomber of Vanilla.

 

I think his comment was a joke, that it's seemingly impossible for someone to actually buy a whole case.

 

Anyone know where the event will be in Philly? My trip to Chicago got nixed but I might be able to manage that instead.

Edit: Once again, not saying I know that's what happened this year. I just rather believe GI's website than a bunch of people speculating on the internetz.

 

Black Friday

 

There was never a picture of the approved 22oz BCBCS 2013 label, just people speculating on the internet. And Goose's website has repeatedly had incorrect information about just about every beer and beer release they've ever done. I mean, it's pretty much a yearly occurrence. Alcohol contents of bottle label not matching website, different parts of Goose Island website giving completely different malt/hop/IBU/ABV contents for the same beer, etc.

 

I wonder if 24 packs will be at costco? that would make the hunt so easy!

 

I lined up to pick it up (two bottle limit, only regular bcbs was available) at Ramirez last year. It is surprising that they didn't move the event to the new, much nicer store, but maybe GI is just going off of old info. The line was about 5 deep at 9 am when they opened, assuming it'll be longer this year.
