    I really like BarFly too, not my fav RIS, but still great beer and lives up to the hype.

    Was in a bar and think the price was because of the whale factor. How much is it normally?? I bought a bottle of Cantillon Rose De Gambrinus to follow at $13.

    I received a bottle of Wee Jack in an LIF, was super excited (and still grateful to Zeledonia for an awesome 6 shipper), and went to open it to discover that it was all buttery diacetyl and just generally nasty.

    Westy is overrated.

    People always talk about establishing a 'sarcastic font' but it's times like these that make me wish there was some font that everyone understood was non-troll.

    None have been "disappointments" including the ones that were oxidized, generally underwhelming, etc.... It's better to open it, drink it, and "know" than to live with the gnawing uncertainty of what it could be.

    The oxidation side of the coin has caused me to be much more trigger happy with my own cellar though..... I like to drink beer, not collect bottles.

    KBS is a "Wale" is PA? Wow I had no idea. I love the stuff.

    Mine would have to be Partridge in a Pear Tree. Yuck!

    I would either say DDG or Kate.
    DDG was just acidic, no balance at all.
    Kate was just another stout, IMO

    I really, REALLY like 1-year old Westy 12, but was too hot fresh. Haven't had it older than that though.

    Noooooooo.......day late and a dollar short I guess. I thought black note was way over hyped, ha. Bar Fly wasn't barrel aged was it? Or at least it was a blend?

    Well it really isn't a "whale." A 12oz bottle like that should be $6-8 in a bar. 4 packs were around $22, right? So $5.50/ea.

    NO. Can not say that!!!!!!! Bar Fly was excellent.
    We just put straight Classic Gueze in that bottle for you :slight_smile:
    Have had 2009-2011 Dark Lord and they were just meh
