Gone in bottles from most places that are my go to beer places, and I heard that Walmart is the culprit. Some kind of distribution deal from Bells to Walmarts as they upgrade their craft beer inventory, and keep them supplied with Two Hearted. True or not? The only stock I've seen are from low volume shops and I'm guessing it's older product so I steer clear, if Bestway can't get something this simple it can't be had. Except on tap of course Brixx in Burlington always has a keg on tap.

Haven't seen them at Wal-mart, but here in AZ they are in many grocery stores (Safeway).

I've seen plenty of Two Hearted in my usual haunts here in the Philadelphia area. Of course, Walmart doesn't sell beer in Pennsylvania, nor do grocery stores.

You shouldn't have to guess at the age. Each bottle has a batch number and, for the past year+, the bottled date. If you see 2H with only a batch number, STAY AWAY!

Agreed!, it would definitely be old. It is so nice that they started doing bottle dates, just the batch # was a pain to figure out in the store.

    It's not walmart.
They cut distrobution a little bit in these parts just until their expansion is complete.
I was told that I couldn't buy kegs for home consumption either for the time being.
I know in Asheville if I really want it, I might need to to hit a couple stores and/or be at the right place at the right time.
    It's always uber fresh though!

Growing pains. We used to get 5 cs a week, now we get 5 cs every two weeks or so. It's just selling so fast that Bell's can't keep up. When they finish expanding you will see it again.

I was wondering where it's been to . Meijer (big chain) has shelf space for it & it's sat empty for almost a year. Tried to get answers from many sources but nothing accept GM @ bells just keeps giving the same wishie/washie reply.. Even the bar that always has it now doesn't 2+wks.Andersons gets it in & goes out in 2 days. I do have a ace up my sleeve, tho but you have to be at the right place.

    Cheers anyway & happy hunting

I havn't seen any around either. However, I am almost positive that WalMart is not the culprit.

It's in every grocery store and lots of gas stations round here...same as it ever was.

Walmart was the first place around here to carry SN's new Ruthless Rye IPA..got it there 8 days after bottling..two weeks more until it hit any other spots

Two Hearted went from everywhere to nowhere where I'm at right now, and I was told it was walmart sucking up volume to stock the stores making distribution non existent right now. Down here I can buy beer everywhere, gas stations, target, walmart etc, so it wouldn't be a big stretch for walmart to go to a company and want product at the best price, and after all they can deliver on the volume. Bell's may have a short term production lag if this is true and I'm sure they will ramp up, but something big has changed because 2 H was available at every grocery store in the area, now it's not. Whether walmart is the culprit I honestly don't know which is why I was asking.

OP, we've got a bunch a few hours away from you down in Greenville right now. It's on the growler station at my neighborhood bottle shop, plus they have plenty of fresh sixers (picked up one dated 2/15 a coupla days ago). It's on tap at the local beer bar and I saw it at our big 'discount beverage warehouse' store earlier today, too.

Yeah, but they operate like a bar. You can only buy two six packs at a time. It's not like some states where you can buy to your heart's content in the grocery stores.

This was on the monthly email from them:

As a valued Bell’s customer, you may be wondering why you’re having trouble finding Two Hearted Ale in your favorite establishment. Thanks to your support, demand for our beer has grown by leaps and bounds over the last few years and we’ve come to a point where we physically cannot keep up.

The good news is that we are already very close to completing our latest expansion (mentioned in the construction update above) that will allow us to bring you more of this beer and more of our other brands as well beginning in just a few short months!

Everyone here at Bell’s thanks you so much for your patience and support while we grow into our new brewery. It’s because of your taste buds and appreciation that we are able to grow like we are and for that, we are truly grateful. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. You can also keep up with the latest details of our expansion on our website, Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

That is the same response I've been getting from them since May.I think they expanded their area of dist. Before they got their production up to compensate. So some areas get less now.

Read between the lines . It's not what they tell you it's what they don't tell you that matters most

    Cheers still love bells

Bell's cannot keep up with the demand. They are in the process of an expansion which should be able to meet the high demand for Two Hearted as well as their other brews.

Not where you are in NC, but I've seen this still around in Raleigh. Bottle Revolution still had some today as a matter of fact.

While I am often sad when I go to the store and see the shelf for Two Hearted empty it also makes me kind of happy that more folks are discovering quality beer. I just keep telling myself when the expansion is complete I'll be able to buy all the 2H I want along with all the other folks.
