I don't trust TABC and what they put online. Rumpkin was approved on 10-13, but I can confirm at least 1 store that was selling it on 10-6 and another in Austin before that.

Stone - Xocoveza Mocha Stout is showing up at stores in DFW today, Central Market Lovers and Whole Foods Park Lane (on the shelf) has it, with others getting it today or tom...Most stores are only getting 6 bottles to a case, apparently.

Growlers Montrose in Houston tapped Summit on October 4 so something must be messed up.

The one for 10-13 was only for kegs.

They may have somehow been using the label approval from back in 2011 for the Rumpkin in bottles.

On a completely side note, if ANYONE can find me the TABC approval for Crown Valley Pumpkin Smash, then please do so. I do not think that beer has label approval (not that I am complaining, just saying).

Really? Specs Houston had a few cases yesterday, I guess I could have just been lucky at when I was in. I really really liked this one. Probably my favorite in whatever they call that series

According to Whole foods Park lane, 6 bottles, and according to Central market, 1 case.

Of course, they could have been lying *shrug*

Rumpkin was on at Draught House since at least the 8th. The bottles are 16.73%, so it may be a specialty keg.

Interesting, hard to imagine that they could use the same label given the abv change yearly with Avery's barrel aged beers.

I agree...but that is the only label approval for rumpkin bottles.

I noticed some time ago that Malheur 12 (or any other Malheur other than Zestig) does not appear in the label database, yet sits on the shelves of Specs. I think the db isn't quite 100% complete.

I would not be surprised. But, I also question Crown Valley since they are through a newer distributor for beer.

I was amazed when I found out that real ale 18th anni gose and comes and gose by odell was a collab. Although as I understand it they are slightly different recipes. They never mentioned that anywhere that I knew of.

Then Whole Foods hadn't sold any until I bought one during lunch today since they had at least six in the cooler.

My understanding is that the TABC only requires a new label approval if the TTB does. TTB allows ABV changes, so Texas should too (unless it changes across the 5% threshold). (See #12.)
