Yep - my parents in Omaha always get me a gift card for one of the bottle shops down there so I have to spend it before I go home. I usually purchase Ska, O'Dell or other beer I can't get in WI.

I like the Rare Beer Club, some selections have been great. My wife got it for me, but we had her put it in my name so I can see the upcoming selections and decide if I want them or not. It is a bit pricey but if you order more bottles (with friends or alone) the price comes down to reasonable.

For my birthday this year my wife got me tickets to "brewery tours of St Louis". They pick you up at your hotel in a very nice bus and transport you to 4 different breweries where you get to sample many of their beers for free. You also get to buy stuff from the brewery stores. It was a great time and I didn't have to worry about driving or parking inside the city.

Ask your dad for a carton of cigarettes, when he gives them to you make him shout "smoke up Johnny". Then spill paint in the garage and let him burn you with a cigar.

One week after you mate! I was there Oct 10-13. Amazing time - not just the beer (which was awesome as expected), but all the food we had blew me away. Plus we took a couple of day trips (to Cannon beach and Columbia gorge) and really enjoyed those too. What was your highlight?

Highlight was beer. And the prices for beer, both at stores and bars. And yes, the food. And the prices for food. And no sales tax. We didn't do alot of sightseeing but I did buy a Pendleton shirt, which I always wanted. Also driving downtown and parking on the street was quite enjoyable. I'm really not too difficult to please. The second part of the trip [to Seattle] was to check out places to live.

For me, I'd be happy with a nice 750ml of something rare or hard to find, maybe a nice glass to go with it (preferably from the same brewery) and some finely aged cheese.

Yeah prices were great. And agreed on driving/parking - totally stress free. I would move to Portland in a heartbeat

Non-standard beer glasses, either something more general like an ipa glass or teku or something beer specific like A kwak glass. There are tons of options.

A stainless steel conical fermenter would make me a happy camper, but some tickets to a fest would too.

I for one try my best not to park anywhere on a Saturday afternoon wherever I am. Unless it's on a barstool.

Unbreakable stainless steel growlers, for my son and daughter in law. They like to take their suds camping. Also an onboard growler transport by Kegworks. And some stainless steel pint glasses, too.

I know. I live in a beautiful place and a great weekend is not driving anywhere! I'll dig in the garden, play with the dogs, and walk all through these woods. OK, so tomorrow is my wife's birthday and we're going out....but Saturday and Sunday are looking good.
