there will be designated parking. Yes, in neighboring lots. Not on 48th street, but close by.

Haha last year is when it really changed...I don't know if it was the awesome weather or what, but it was so much more of a festive atmosphere (see: drunk and jovial). 2009 - 2012 were more calm...in my opinion. I expect this year to be like last.

I also hope people respect the event and the rules and don't show up prior to 330 Friday. Don't be dicks, people.

    Haha cheers!

keep in mind Jim Syrudk thinks the appropriate price is over $35 but I guess you can do what you want when you own the store......

You should be fine. The last couple years have had wristbands available after 9 am Saturday. That may change this year with the weather and barrel aging, but I'd bet midnight will be just fine

I have not been to Darkness Day in a long time but am looking forward to it this year! I will be bringing a few goodies such as Heady Topper and Firestone Walker along with other beers I have bought when traveling. If anyone is interested in trading for some Heady Topper let me know. I will look at my inventory and post some of the other beers I have to trade and share.

Wish I could campout this year, got a thing Friday and a trip up north Saturday. Guess I can go get me some Cold Press Black STout on Nitro at Bent Paddle on Saturday to drown my sorrows. I may drop by Friday about 11pmish for an hour or so to throw out some high fives and share a beer or two (and maybe find someone I know in line to get me a couple bottles for my verticals).

A strange request as I understand I do not know a single one of you...I suffered a relatively severe sprained ankle yesterday and am unable to go on Friday/Saturday. This will be the first one I've missed in 4 years. If anyone plans on getting under their allotted amount, I would love to buy a bottle from you. I am in the Minnehaha Falls area. PM if this is an option. Have fun.

Howdy all - figured I'd post before adding my salt to the trade list.

Been to D Day before, but never overnight. If we leave our spot in line, and wander for sharing/trading sauce, do we need to worry about our gear getting stolen or rifled through? AKA, do we need to lug our sleeping bags, etc. around with us until we attempt to sleep? You wouldn't think beer geeks would be a problem, but after reading about previous years' disappearances, who knows.

AKA, do you leave your overnight gear in a car until it's time to pass out or no? Thanks!

I'll sort of steal Junkfish's thunder and also chime in and ask a personal favor; take care of Junkfish first but if anyone else wants to be PayPal'd some money and isn't getting the full allotment I'll buy a bottle or two from you. (Disclaimer: I am fully healthy, just unable to attend!).

    Less than 24 hours!

Looking forward to sharing our beer with you!

Though at this rate, the 100% Brett pale ale may not show up...
