I wasn't the one who originally replied. I was just speculating. However, Sexual Chocolate is humorous and most likely takes its name from the Eddie Murphy band from Coming To America. Personally, I don't give a shit what breweries name their beers as long as they taste good.

I'm in the same camp. And didn't know that about the origin of SC's name. If so...that's pretty awesome.

I've been waiting for a year round pils from them! Love the summerfest especially in cans.
Not to sound like a nerd though. But do we really need to use "******ed" as a description???
There are all kinds of people that enjoy beer. Even mentally challenged people. Sorry man JMO.

Where does it say its going to be "year round"? I get the feeling this is a Spring or Summer seasonal release.

Either way, I am excited about it. Seems perfect for hiking and fishing.

Wishful thinking. Just assuming since they already have a summer in the style..,..,.maybe!!!!!

Well I'm with you in hoping that its year round! But if they do make any new beer year round I hope it's their Vienna Lager. I've bought 4 of those fall packs just for that beer alone (not that I didn't enjoy the other ones as well!).

    Cheers!

I could care less about the name. A pilsner brewed by Sierra Nevada? Yes, please!

Did you try this before? I don't remember this pilsner from them in the past.

Exactly, I remember Nooner attached to their session IPA, not a pilsner.

I always thought Summerfest was a pilsner too, so I don't think this is is their first crack at a pils for the masses.

I don't think it's year round, but part of a future variety pack with Hop Hunter IPA, Golden IPA, and Blindfold Black IPA.

And I love the idea of these evolving SN boxes.

I do too. I wish many more breweries did good variety packs. I can't stand most of them, however, because it's usually an instance where you have have to suffer a few/several mediocre beers just for the chance to experience a couple/few cans/bottles of good beer. But yeah...imagine an SN variety pack with like...Pale Ale, Narwhal, Coffee Stout, and Celebration?

Nope. But I'm casting my vote of confidence to something new from SN.

Sounds like a year-round Summerfest to me.

And that name (Nooner)......if they already have a beer of the same name labeled as a "session IPA", why not fool the consumer by creating the first "session pilsner".
