Probably already need to be in line for the extras released at 3 for even a fighting chance if there are even many.

I got there about 8 last night and camped out. Surly volunteers were walking up and down the streets early this morning telling everyone no wristbands will be given out until all campsites are cleaned up. As I was cleaning mine everyone else abandoned their messy campsites and formed a revised line, I ended up not getting any. I saw a lot of people behind me that didn't get any either. I would say 300 is definitely and underestimate.

I should clarify - not knocking the volunteers or anything. Just echoing what wardpower noticed.

I thought those were in regards to the wristband allotments of Darkness. Last year there was a line around 3 in which I was able to get 4 bottles. Will there not even be any left for that?

The volunteers, every single person in attendance, the police, were all friendly and helpful and did everything in their power to make it a good time. I just think after today, Darkness Day in it's current concept has reached Critical Mass/Tipping Point.

It's really good. Just got the 1pm tapping.

As for Darkness day, this was my first one and it blew Dark Lord day out of the water. We got there by 330 and were pretty close to the front of the line. The people we met and made friends with all had great beer to share and was just a very fun environment. Fire pits everywhere. Just a fun environment and definitiely hope to go again.

Oh, and I know "metal" is their thing but I honestly can't stand the bands, lol.

Starting tomorrow, but it could take more than a week for all stores in the Twin Cities to get it.

Ahhhh! You guys were amazing! Does your group have a name? Are you working towards an actual brewery?

I had the same problem. I was running stuff to my car and then they decided to open up the line to all the latecomers. I ended up being the very last person to get a wristband, but my brother got shut out. We arrived the day before around 7PM ,and most of the people around us had got there around 5AM this morning. It was a great event, but the line needed to be managed better.

Actually, I think the warm weather probably shoved the event closer to the tipping point. If it had been raining, or 33 degrees, or snowing, a lot of the fair-weather fans would have said "F-it, I'll grab one at a store near me." Let's hope for the gales of October next year.

Usually they'd announce to line up. We were close to the front and were down getting coffee and there was a long line already and you could see, what looked like, people coming from the back or elsewhere to line up. A lot of unfamiliar faces around is very suddenly.

Also, who was the guy vomiting at 100 dB after midnight? And the guys screaming at around 4am? "Get the fuck out of my spot". And "You took a swing at me when this is my table?"

I was very disappointed in the people who hopped the line this morning. The line went down 48th, up one side of Lilac and down the other, then back down the other side of 48th. As soon as everyone started condensing, the people on the other side of 48th (the end of the line) just crossed the street and cut off everyone along Lilac. My friend got in line at 4am and would have got a wristband had people not been so selfish. What the hell, guys?

Had a great time. Enjoyed many a great beer and great times. Hope all enjoyed the Bodhi keg. I agree with the shiftiness of the line cutters. I will give kudos to the new way to get bottles. I just hope the handicapped girl was found. Thank you again Jawzman for bringing the sausages. Here's to next year.

Didn't hear the vomiting episode, but, totally heard the scuffle while trying to sleep. Haha! Sounded like a little fisticuffs ready to take place.
