Beer Release (Short's Brew): Quasar Dank

    Hi everyone-

    As some of you know, we recently released a bottle-only brew called Quasar Dank. This is a one-and-done brew that is tasting spectacular. Anyone who loves hoppy Rye Ales should definitely give it a go.

    Quasar Dank is a medium bodied ruby red ale with bold spicy grain and sweet citrus hop aromas. Hearty and distinct malted rye dominates the flavor profile, with slight traces of sweetness from other specialty grains. Heavy hop additions compound with an intense rye dryness, leaving its signature peppery mark on the magnified bitter finish.
    6.5% ABV

    Had this on tap at Short's on Sunday. Definitely going to pick up a sixer, very tasty.

    Had a couple last night. Big fan. I don't want to get all sacrelig, but I liked it better than Red's Rye,

    But for real, it will be nice to have something to replace the now-discontinued Red's Rye bottles (RIP) on shelves, even if only for a few weeks.

    @HopHeadHerman I know you mentioned the Fall variety packs being tied up with Imperial...is there a reason for all the delays in shipment? I purchase almost all specialty beers on the day of their release in Lansing, and I'm lucky if the beers were bottled less than three-four weeks prior.

    Okay, I love Short's, I know I might catch some shit for being indignant that I have to wait three-four weeks for a beer, bla bla bla, privilege, first world problems. I'm just trying to get a better understanding of what potentially can cause holdups in the specific case of Short's.

    Picked this up just a few hours ago and I am digging it! It has a nice citrus flavor but the dryness of the rye balances it nicely, I also get a small amount of honey in this one. Keep up the good work Short's !

    Fall variety is out, now. Specialties usually take a couple weeks from being bottled to being shipped to stores, on account of the ambitious schedule, and allocating to reps, accordingly.

    On a relaxed hunt for it as well. FWIW, I haven't seen it at Off the Wagon in Clawson nor at Zetouna in Rochester.

    Lil Wheezy basically just came out in west MI, also barely any places have pan galactic yet (most will have by tomorrow).. I wouldn't worry. and i haven't seen the variety pack anywhere in west mi yet..
