On a side note..... Has anyone ever seen or heard of Celebration stickers? Been covering up the beer fridge and realized a Celebration sticker should be on there. If they exist.

Technically they do exist since there is a circular sticker on the plastic keg cap.

What do you mean "another IPA?" the beer is the same recipe it has always been. Celebration IS an IPA and has been since the beginning. The addition of the letters I-P-and-A are again, supposed to tell the uninformed drinker what to expect once they open the bottle.

On your comment about the lettering, it's the same font (the "Sierra" custom font) we use on our banner logo. Trying to lean-out the typefaces on the package. All of our beers wil be swapping out to this new format over the coming year.

Sorry Bill, I meant the first part of the post as a joke since the label changed from "fresh hop ale" to "fresh hop IPA". There are usually lots of comments about breweries putting out more IPA's these days since that is what the market is demanding.

Regarding the second part - I honestly never even look at the packaging anymore. I enjoy your beer so much that the only thing that I look for is the packaging date. I am eagerly awaiting my case of Celebration!

I went back and took another closer look at the lettering. Maybe it's the size difference, but I while I can see now that they are the same font, the larger text in "CELEBRATION" really makes the style-elements of the font stand out. I always liked the way that "SIERRA NEVADA" looked with that font. Odd that they appeared so differently to me.

Strange... the image/link is still working for me (altho' the TTB url's are quirky/expire).

But, anyway, I was not criticizing/commenting on the new label design.

I was talking about the release year on the neck label - which has been there for many years (but is not on the neck label of the pic in your post above):

Just had my first 2014. Gotta say, it seems very similar to last year. At least from what my tastebuds remember.

    So good.

It hit the Lancaster County area late last week. I picked up a case today, and will crack open the first one shortly.

Nothing that i've heard of yet. I have a keg on order, can't wait to pick it up. I was in the stores this past weekend and didn't see anything in NECT. That reminds me, I need to clean my sanke tap tomorrow.

The bottle images on our website are often just illustrations/mockups we use before the beer has been bottles so that we can launch the web page before the beer's actual release. The neck label you have above is the legit file. Date and all.

Still no plans here for Celebration cans yet. Nor for any of our other seasonals. (although I'd love to crazy a Celebration can that's been chilling in the snow. God that sounds good.)

I almost did too, then I saw where he added a sub-head titled: Actual Response. Guess he forgot where the smilies were.:grinning:

Can't wait to pick some up. One of my all time favorite brews and something I'm excited about every year.
