Hey guys, Just wanted to get a little feedback on a little tid bit of info I scrolled across on Goose Islands page recently. We in Georgia are all very aware of the 14% cap that keeps BCBS and BCBCS out of our hands, but since BCBBW was the only one under 14% we saw them hit our shelves for a short while. I know Vanilla is supposed to be distributed nationally and on the site it says it will come to 13.8%, so what do you guys think the chances of us seeing this guy in our stores is?...obviously for a very, very shortwhile. Cheers!

I have also heard of a 12% BCBS being made this year. It was in reference to a Ohio ABV cap, but if 12% BCBS exists maybe it makes it's way to GA as well.

I think that if GI makes it and it would be legal to sell in GA, then it will likely make it to stores in ATL.

So you are saying you've heard that they are making a seperate lower ABV BCBS to reach states with ABV caps? Havent heard anything about that...seems very unlikely...Even if that more tamed version reached us, I would buy it, but wouldnt consider it the real deal.

I have also heard we are getting BCBS this year, although the details were very vague.

I have bottles from last year there has two different ABV's on the label.. Both are real deal, and taste the same.

They just have to keep it under the 14%, so they blend it down a bit.. It's better than nothing, IMO. I'll take a 13.9% BCBS, when the guys in the next state are drinking 14.2%

yeah if sub 14% BCBS was in GA and 14.2% was elsewhere, I would happily buy the GA BCBS. I would probably trade for a 4 pack of the out of state stuff to compare, but I really doubt that you would notice a difference.

But since it is beer, the most likely thing would be that BA would say that lower ABV was rarer and better and everyone would want to trade for the low ABV stuff since everyone got the 14%+ stuff and only a handful of states will get the 13.9%

We did receive BCBBW last year, so at the very least, I would expect Georgia to get that again. Hopefully, this will be the year that distribution is ramped up, but I can't imagine Goose Island taking a step backwards.

One of my retailers told me that BCBCS and Vanilla were on his order sheets and that he pointed it out to his distributor. It may mean nothing. But hopefully it means something.
