This is Huna Jr. if you ask me...I didn't hate it at all

 

Could you explain why? I just got a bottle of this and would like to understand why it could be compared to Huna, which I never had.

My local bottle shop tapped a keg of Panzer Wolf and Founders Mosaic Promise in the dark to celebrate their Pint License...I RSVP'd yes..

 

Similar flavor profile but the mouth feel is just thinner...huna fuller bodied. Each are quite good in their own right tough to beat that Stone Collab for $9 a bomber

 

After crunching on all those hops earlier I decided to have dessert....

No way it was only 25 lbs.

 

Oh, now the original post makes sense, I get it. Yeah I tried scheming instead of being remotely accurate; had I put somewhere in the mid/upper 40's I'd have been more likely to get away with it. I figured on the off chance I got away with what I did, that's $30; even if it was more likely, being off by 4 or 5 pounds would've saved less than $10, so it seemed worth the gamble.

Frankly I'm kinda hoping they lose the damn thing since I've got it insured at $600.

Almost finished it before remembering to snap a picture... and I skipped photographing the Oddside El Dankerino that I had earlier; that one had a great aroma but the flavor was just ... off. Not a specific defect that I could put my finger on, but something was up.

This Morph also has an amazing aroma, but at only 4 weeks old it's already fallen off a cliff from where it was 2 weeks ago.

It's amazing how picky I am with IPAs anymore; the hits really hit, but any amount of a miss, or even the slightest bit of age and I'm no longer impressed.

I'm pretty picky now too. If it doesn't taste like mangoes, I'm not impressed.

 

Had a nightmare that the boxes that I shipped broke, so now I'm nervous! Looks like they're going to be delivered tomorrow.

 

Okay, this isn't completely true, I just really like IPAs that taste like mangoes. I don't want my sender thinking I won't enjoy any IPAs he sends me!

 

I highly recommend Abraxas. It's one of my top 5 beers and worth the hype and hassle associated with obtaining a bottle. I actually prefer it to Huna.

 

Target: You may get your beers separate from your brewery swag. I ran out of large boxes but I want to get the beer out so if I can't track down another box today, you'll have to suffer with three boxes of delicious beer.
