Rumpkin turned out to be 1,600 cases this year and Pump[KY]n was 2,000 - I guess the numbers in the article were just estimates but yeah expect there to be a helluva lot of Tweak.

Where the hell is Avery storing all these extra barrels anyways? In some random old mine in the Flatirons or something?

Maybe they'll keep the Arapahoe space as a dedicated barrel cellar. Keep all the Brett away from the new brewery. That would be cool, sorta like Firestone Barrelworks.

It hit you up front with some sour, but then mellowed in a way that other beers haven't. Quite drinkable and great balance. I am a HUGE fan of it.

I agree with this assessment. The acidity was somewhat muted in Antonius compared to Rufus, but it is still plenty tart with good fruit flavors and some serious barrel character. I can taste the sweet wine here. Me likey.

If you saw a decent amount of Pump[KY]n or Rumpkin in Texas this year then I would say there's a good shot that some will make it to your local store. That's just wild guessing though based on what evidence we have so far.

I would say the same thing with around 2000 cases being released. But I also know that there is going to be greater demand in CO for this release then the last few. I'm hoping it's a no limit release again like Pump[ky]n. I've already switched the family over to sandwiches and box Mac & Cheese every day in anticipation of the amount of money I'm going to be spending on this beer. And no I'm not cruel, I do sub in Ramen noodles for the Mac & Cheese every 3 days.

Don't forget BCBS hitting town just a few short weeks later! May need to keep them on that diet for the rest of the year.

Not to mention a Casey release the following week, oh and Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, etc. too.

Can someone loan me $Texas? I'll hit you back.

If there is NO limit and knowing the demand, I could see very little hitting stores. People have been asking for this for too long.... Since I have never had it, I am quite excited.

Still $12 a bottle, so as much as people will want to stock up, that's going to limit a lot of people's ability to buy a ton. 2,000 or so cases is a LOT of beer.

Yeah, I just don't see 2,000 people buying a case that day or anywhere close to it. The hype and anticipation is definitely there but it's just not going to happen. This is all assuming that around 2,000 cases are indeed being released.

    ...but who knows!

As much as I'd like to buy a ton, it's hard to justify when BCBS and BCBCS are half the price (or less).

CO doesn't get enough of either of those.

Yeah true. I'm sure I'm going find a lot less than I'm used too :slight_frown: Not that it was that easy to find in Chicago.

My wife loved the non-BA Tweak so she is ultra disappointed they decided to age it in bourbon barrels. I personally can't wait. But I would love for them to have both, even if non-BA Tweak was still draft only. It is such a damn good beer already.
But alas when I asked, there are no current plans to keep regular Tweak around, never mind bottling it.

I hate to disappoint your wife, but from here on out all Tweak will be barrel aged. While there's always a chance that we'll change our minds, we've definitely seen confusion for the folks buying these beers if there are a bunch of different treatments out there. While I'd love to have some non-barrel aged for our Tap Room (it's a killer morning beer in small amounts), it's not really in the plans.
