I know right, what the hell is that? Are they really going that low volume with stuff. They always post when merch goes up on their site and its gone in literal seconds.

I really want to come to the defense of Prairie, but I really can't here.

They know they have a hot product, they should be making more glasses, not making a secondary market for them.

Didnt know glasses were worth more to people than the beer itself

I will be avoiding that. Seriously, choose a better location than a tiny bar that overcharges for everything.

Well depends on the glassware but some of us really enjoy collecting glass. After all they do tend to stick around longer than the beer itself.

Easy Tiger didn't handle the event as well as they have other releases in the past (e.g last November's retired Avery sours event). I enjoyed the Brimstone Bomb, but didn't pick up on any smokiness.

There were quite a few douchebags at the event, but that's not Easy Tiger's fault. Then again, serving the people behind the people who had been waiting at the bar for 10+ minutes was highly dubious...

Pretty sure I was one of those assholes. Hmm, well, I'm sure I was. Drove down from Round Rock and got there at 4:45... and still almost missed out. Didn't get my pour until 5:30. Highly, highly disorganized. Outspoken about my frustration and got one of the last pours served in the Prairie glass. Was frustrated as I'd ordered two. Easy Tiger folks knew I was frustrated and poured me another in a house glass (props for managing to deal with me being as difficult as I was) but I'm convinced it was regular Bomb. My take is the BA elements were too subtle. Softened the edge of the Bomb. but just weren't pronounced enough. All in all, underwhelming. Or at least underwhelming to my expectations given how awesome Bomb is and Pirate Bomb was. Just my $0.02.

So is Brimstone Bomb still in the barrel or already bottled? I certainly wouldn't be turned off for more smokiness. Shit, I better have a Alaskan Smoked Porter or CENSORED at home to treat this craving I have now...

I can vouch that I sat down at 5:20 and my server told me they were not allowing any new orders for brimstone bomb by itself or in the flight. I don't know if they all did that but mine did. Oh well. I did not make a scene, politely said I understood and had something else and a pretzel. I wasn't happy and would have loved a pour, but in the end it's only beer.Hopefully I can track down a bottle or two.

I am still baffled by why you would host a release event with likely a slim keg of something. If you are bothering to do these events, then have enough to last more than 20 minutes. If you do not have as many kegs, then either do not do these events, or do not try to have as many events and give more kegs to places that host it.

For example, why do you have two events in Waco and only one in Austin?

My guess is that they didn't make a lot of this stuff. Prairie is notorious for making small-batch variants, for better or for worse. I'm guessing they made 6-10 kegs worth for promotional events. I'm also guessing (hoping) they wanted to see how the first batch turned out before making a ton of it and putting it in bottles. If small kegs means we get a better product in bottles in a month or so, I'm OK with that.

Thats exactly what they had - a slim. Illogical to advertise a big event with that little on hand. Glad I didnt try to fight the traffic.

A friend told me a bartenders said they got several kegs and will be tapping them at other times.

    Just what I heard

If someone makes it to the event at Holy Grail in Frisco and thinks the glassware is abhorrent but has one anyways... let me know!

I'd also like one of these glasses! Either the Whiskey glass or the beer glass.
