When did Carton become a thing? I feel like they were one of those breweries that no one had ever heard of and the next day people just can't get enough of their beers... Kind of like tree house. Not bashing them, just trying to figure out when they blew up.

 

That was so fun. Though I just got scolded by my wife who was inexplicably trying to put my son to bed while I was blasting this. What was she thinking?!

 

Not sure when they blew up. Being from Jersey I've been a Big supporter of both Carton and Kane since they started. I'm just happy to have 2 great breweries less than an hour from my house.

 

Their Boat seemed to kick things off a bit and then their 077xx really stepped it up a notch. As a NJ native, I was always a bit leary of their offerigns at first because we have very few good beers (Flying Fish Exit 16 is pretty good IMO), but Boat, 077xx, and a few others were actually very good. I think Boat might have been their catalyst into the good beer scene.

Is it bad that I want to make sure Ray makes it to 2.0 just to see what happens? Ray, think something like the scene in Old School, going to pull up, throw a hood over your head, throw you in the truck and take you to PA!!!

 

I can say a few things having been a lurker for some time then an eventual poster/member. Get thick skin if you don't have it. You'll need it. If you like to send beer to others without any expectation of anything in return, you have the right place. Lot of fantastic fellas in this thread. Happy that I am a part of it.

As @Lehighace06 stated, reading from page #1 will tell you a lot about the folks in this thread. I read from page one and had a ton of questions all which got answered in time. What really got me wanting to post / be a part of things was @Haywire and his crossword puzzle hints....I was like, I could get behind this!!! Glad I did as I have never looked back. I now only post/surf this thread. I think I do even less at work as I post majority of time from there.

If you want to be a part of the madness, I suggest you put together a LIF and post...I'm no OG or anything, but seems as if someone is serious, that's the door opener here.

If you have questions about what happens ask the folks here as they are always happy to help. Welcome, tell your significant other you will now be wasting away here.

You should really consider a caravan, that or a half dozen 12-shippers to be sent to/from @Houser's place. There's no way a clown car full of beer geeks will also have enough room for all their beer.

Scare the heck out of them I say!! I actually had about 15 groups want pictures with me! One group had parents following with a growler of Victory Fest....it was later in the night and I considered tackling them! And for what its worth the mask lights up too!
