OLD STYLE is still my all time favorite! Poor Stroh's...really fallen of the wagon the last several years. Hauenstein is this weekend, but Schell's is probably the best "bang for the buck"! Good S**T, Low Price!

I still love Gennesee Cream Ale, Colt 45, and Carling Black Label. I really wish they still made Colt Ice.

Didn't they used to have a pull tab lid at one time?

Yeah, the same sort of pull tab cap found on other "big/wide mouth" bottles used by Rheingold (their "Chug-a-mug" bottle -as seen in this pic of my Mom, Christmas 1962, below), and by old Associated Brewing Co. brands like Piels, Schmidt, Sterling, etc. Most of the latter brands, like Mickey's, wound up as Heileman brands. Mickey's got picked up by Miller in the big Heileman/Stroh/Pabst/Miller brand shuffle when Stroh closed in 1999.

Not sure which brewery (Heileman, Stroh or Miller) switched to the unexciting, screw-off cap but it sure took that "potential of danger (bloody fingers)" out of the brand. :grinning: The rebus puzzle a poor substitute (and an idea stolen from S&P's "Crown Ticklers" found on Falstaff/General/Pearl/Pabst brands).

Magic Hat's Hi#9 was surprisingly delicious. I would drink it again but I think it only comes in mixed 12 packs.

Southern Tier 422. Kind of shocked me with the ratings after I had it. Best APWA I've ever had. Also really enjoyed Sam Adams Alpine Spring and Whitewater IPA when they were around. Thought they were both great.

Gansett and I really don't mind $1 PBR's at my usual spot but those are usually for later when it wouldn't matter what I'm drinking anyways haha

The Windsor or Canadian ballet is a euphemism for a Canadian strip club. The drinking age is nineteen in Canada. Many 19 year old young men in border towns frequently cross the border fo some Molsons and a night at the ballet

It's on draft at the Mexican place closest to our house. Pure magic with Mexican food. Plus I feel all fancy saying especial. LOL.

For shame BA'ers giving it a 66. I think the bros are more in line with their 79 rating. :sunglasses:
