Looks like lower case counts on both beers. Maybe the recent anniversary party spurred people to? Regardless, I had plans for that weekend so iwouldn't/won't be attending.

yeah, I'm really happy that I jumped on it as soon as it went live. I had no idea that it would be a one day sell out. Considering none other sold out in this quick time frame, I'm guessing everyone just is dying to get a bottle of that pumpkin beer...

    ... Or 3.
Interesting that both RS memberships and the SLOambic release sold out in hours instead if weeks/months like last time. I'd be perfectly fine with there being 200 people instead of 300 this time around.

I almost waited to buy a ticket to this. Last time I got in the week of the event. Glad I didn't! I'd also like to see fewer people at the release, not that it was that bad last time. See you all there!

I think the only line that was bad was the one at the bar - and that's because they had four offerings there. Separating them out to one side or the other of the bar would have helped.

Other than that, after being at all these this past year, the worse was Bretta Rose (one line to buy bottles, one to buy tasters), but all of them have been great to go to.

Got tickets for the lady and I. Any bottle shares happening after?

In uh, beautiful Buellton? I'm going and then getting out of there as soon as possible personally.

Buellton the town may not be much, but the Santa Ynez Valley is absolutely beautiful. I never mind the drive headed up from L.A., but I suppose beauty is always in the eye of then beholder.

I think the real problem is that with a bottle share after an all-you-can-drink event like this, you're running the risk of being well above the legal limit of driving. Add in that Santa Barbara/Buellton is well known for pinching those weekend wine warriors. You probably don't want to linger too long in the area to the time where they're casting a wide net for intoxicated drivers.

Besides, you're better using that time getting some dutch food in that little cute town. Your wife will love you as you sober up, cause fuck trying to drink any of that Solvang Brewing Company beer. Ugh!

Heading to Libertine Pub (Morro Bay) after the liberation and staying the night there. Did the same last time and had a pretty good bottle share at Libertine.

The Figueroa tasting room in Buellton is pretty great, especially for fresh Lizard's Mouth; it wouldn't surprise me if they allowed a bottle share. The Qupe (wine) tasting room is worth a visit, too.

Figueroa does have a nice tasting room. Just not much else to stay in that city for.

If you like wine also, Avant is pretty cool. It's in the same complex as Figueroa BC.

I'm doing the same as Curb, going to Libertine (Morro Bay) after the Liberation and spending the night there. If anyone else is down, we can do a bottle share.

Hey there, my buddy and I will be driving down on the 15th in the am.. We would like to participate in a bottle share and can also get a room anywhere north of Buellton on Highway 101.
PM me if any of you would like to share some cool bottles that day/night after the event lets out!

If anyone has or knows someone with a couple tickets they don't plan on using please let me know. My gf and I are going to be in SLO that weekend and would love to go to the release. I'll buy the tickets outright, pay for half, mule the bottles, or whatever. I just want to be in the building.

Hoping for a community opinion here: Had planned a weekend with my wife up near Buellton, so we were going to do some wineries (for her) and also swing by the FW restaurant and Barrelworks. Assuming I should probably just avoid FW like the plague on Saturday and push that to Sunday?

The Buellton taproom (Barrelworks) will be closed to the public on the 15th..Sunday may be busier than usual with people hoping to get bottles, but it is an option. At the last release, the restaurant was beyond chill and still open to the public.

    Ah, good to know. Thanks!

Had planned the trip before the bottle release was announced, so definitely a bummer. Will try for Sunday, though, and see how that works out.
