Coffee Eugene on cask at rev brew

Rev has tapped a few Coffee Eugene casks in the past two months. The Marshmallow Eugene cask was also pretty tasty.

 

Note to self: always ask what's on cask. I had Rize on cask last week (they say black IPA or hoppy american porter) and it was great.

 

Then I guess you'll have to email the WBC judges, as well, since they awarded Rise a Gold Medal in the American-style Stout category.

 

he should probably also tell rev to stop false advertising too.

 

I noticed that I no longer see a separate tap list for the Kedzie Brewery & the Brewpub. When I click on the 2 links the tap list is the same. Is it going to stay like that now? It would be great since I can walk to the brewery.

Also don't see coffee Eugene on there, unless they just haven't updated it yet.

 

I've never seen them provide updates with what's available on cask.

I didn't realize that they tweaked the Anti-Hero, too. I wonder if it's going to stay at 6% or get bumped up to 6.5% like the final can label suggests:

 

They don't add their cask offerings to the draft lists.

 

Anyone know if there are cask offerings at Kedzie Brewery?

 

I didn't see a beer engine behind the bar, so probably not, unless they've added one since the party.

And yeah, they never post what the cask is, unless they happen to mention it on their Facebook page (which they do on occasion). Even the list at the brewpub itself doesn't tell you, it tells you to ask your server what the cask beer is. I always ask.

 

Is the Kedzie taproom even open?

 

It's been open for a couple of weeks now!

Like I said when they debuted Rise I am pretty sure the menu, the server, or both, said that it could be described as either a black IPA or a hoppy stout (unless I'm thinking of a different beer?). I think sometimes these distinctions break down with a certain degree of scrutiny. It's a good beer.

 

Was told by Jim himself that it is a hoppy stout
