I will have some family driving down there at the end of this week. What are some great local brews that I could have picked up for me as well as what bottle shops to go to? I appreciate any help or advice from you all. Thanks!
Hmmm.......Fayetteville doesn't have a great selection of shops unfortunately. Bob & Sherri's is there but they're overpriced. Grapes & Hops is good off Hwy 87 in Spout Springs (You'll pass right by it). If you have family driving down from Ohio I recommend they stop in Winston or Greensboro on the way down to get you some stuff. Better selection in those 2 cities.
Ahh Yes. Haven't been there yet so forgot to mention it. i'll have to check them out next time I'm there. Thanks @offtheheezi .
You could always get growlers from Mash House or Huske Hardware. I havent had anything from Mash House since Ruben left, but I cant imagine it changed much.
Mash is decent, just had there iPa Sunday it was pretty good seemed better than before. Also dirtbag is up and brewing and solid iPa, not sure if they will fill growlers yet though.
On shelf here in fayetteville , you can find aviator, foothills, duck rabbit stout, old hickory, oscar blues, beer army, to name a few all make decent beers. Depending on what style you are looking
Grab a bottle of Olde Hickory Imperial Stout if you see it. You won't regret it. Olde Hickory Death by Hops should also be available, and it's pretty good. Foothills Hoppyum would be another ipa that I'd recommend trying.
grab the new label (the one without the clouds) if theres an option. I'd be interested in trying Dirtbag IPA, and Ive been in talks with Huske to get their new lineup put on my growler station.
To be more helpful: Foothills: Hoppyum and Seeing Double are solid options Olde Hickory: Imp Stout or Death by Hops Beer Army: Heroes Never Die IPA, Angels belgian single, and Zero Dark Thirty Black IPA are your best bets Aviator: HogWild is solid, and grab a pint or growler of Black Mamba Stout. Just tapped it Monday at work, and its tasting great. LoneRider: Peacemaker pale is good, and Cowboy in Black is a nice stout
is this mac's speed shop you are referencing? looks like a bbq restaurant - do they still cans/bottles to go?
