he shows 2 completed trades..you show zero. I am aware of the ohter trading venues, but if you are going to come into someone else's house and make childish comments like that, you better have something to back it up other than a goose egg...

op is far from a drama queen. i've met him a couple of times, and he's honestly one of the nicest and most mellow dudes i've met.

threads like his help people like us avoid crappy traders like these two.

There's a reason why most people avoid trading on here and it's because of clowns, such in this instance. I have two completed trades on here, but probably 300+ since 09; I gather the two with which I've traded have never given me feedback, which doesn't bother me one bit. I'm shipping 2-3 boxes a week regularly... you can check my IG if you don't believe me (pm for that as I'll surely get banned for it due to its graphic nature and the butthurtedness of everyone on here). Lastly, Janky is a personal friend and I know my username here doesn't have much weight, but I can assure you he's fine.

    lol, right.

Threads like this not only help to uncover potentially bad traders that people run into but some of the people that comment on them just add to that list even more.

For most, a trade is "accepted" when addresses are exchanged. As evidenced by the discussion posted above, this was done. Backing out of a deal after that is poor practice. It may not make janky a bad trader per se, but one that many people on this site (or others) won't want to deal with.

You or janky could have a 1000 perfect trades with amazing feedback, it wouldn't have changed how he handled getting called out and how you just handled yourself. For you, you seem to lack the understanding of why it matters to own up, apologize, and walk away instead of trying to turn it around...and failed, calling people who value trade honesty as being "butthurt". You are only as good as your worst trade. It's how you handled yourself that that worst trade is judged by the rest of the community.

No, but he could probably be banned temporarily for this:

    • Trades must be beer for beer. No other goods or services; like tickets, booze, proxies/mules.
    • No open-ended offers / auctions; example: "Make me an offer."
    • No selling, buying, betting or pimping listings on another site.
    • No posting duplicate threads / bumping; repeat offenders will be banned as spammers.
    • No "message sent" / "check your messages" style posts.
    • Don't threadjack. Start your own ISO:FT thread.

@Beejis60 lets take a step back and calm down, we know you are here to say @janky is a good trader, he responded to this thread with his side, some people might see it his way, some might not. But lets not turn this into a bad experience.
@janky has contacted me regarding this situation, and everyone learns from everyones mistakes.

Yes, its annoying to have somebody back out of a trade but it happens. I know addresses were exchanged but now adays I go with an accepted trade request as the standard for whether an agreement was made. I've had several people jerk me around or have to back out on trades, but I'm not publicly outing them unless I am out $, beer, or both. Hell I've had to back out of 1 or 2 myself due to unforseen circumstances and I would hope nobody would put up a "trade with caution" thread about me. Granted it sounds like @janky could have handled things better but unless you are out $ or beer I'm not sure these threads should happen.

I can personally vouch for @janky as well. Have completed several great trades with him on other venues.

He is good people and has never given me the impression of being flaky or be anything other than
really generous. (i.e. threw in a Degarde Brun Marron among other things just for chits and giggles on a recent trade)

Not saying him or the OP did everything perfect, just dont want him being black listed by something like this.

I'd like to point out that @TampaRainman posted this thread primarily because of what happened with @ghost_pepper78, and did so based on the recommendations the mods have made. The bit about what happened with @janky was extra, and only escalated after @janky came in and responded (good) with what appears to be a mischaracterization of events (not so good).

Can we just lock this thread and move on? The only valuable information here is for everyone to learn the definition of "disparage".

OP is way to pushy with his trades.
First guy didn't send a box... OP didn't send a box... so who cares?
Second guy backed out because his buddy changed his mind... it happens... no biggie.

I want to give @ghost_pepper78 a chance to respond, he has not been on the site since this thread was posted. And i think, at least from when he contacted me, @janky might have one last thing to say.
