On my way to Austin for acouple days, staying in south congress area. Any noteworthy places I gotta stop? Don't have a car so unfortunately can't venture out too far, thanks in advance

For bottle shops, it is not on South Congress, but WhichCraft is probably your best bet. If you cannot get over to that area, then the Whole Foods Downtown may be your best option.

For beer bars? Craft Pride. Still a bit of a distance, but it is all relatively the same area. And you can use B-Cycle to get around (or whatever it is called).

Whichcraft on S Lamar is your best bet...not too bad of a walk if you're up for it or you could always cab/uber/lyft it

WhichCraft had already been mentioned and is definitely your best bet.

I delivered to Bender Bar on Ben White between south 1st and Congress and noticed they had some nice stuff on tap there. Won't be as expansive as CP, but it is way closer. Heard they have good burgers too.

River City Market has a decent selection. It's on South Congress north of Oltorf.

Whip-In and ABGB are both brewpubs. Whip-In carries a lot of bottles to go and guest taps as well. ABGB has great beer and sandwiches with a nice outdoor area.

Cool thanks. Going to watch the bats tonight on the bridge so we'll head to craft pride afterwards. Which craft looks like a mile and a half walk from the guest house we're staying at, could use the walk after all the Mexican food I've had this week

It isn't a bad walk at all.

Actually, there is a trail that goes along Town Lake (Lady Bird Lake for all you Cali transplants who do not know better) that should take your right to the end of Rainey St and would be a better walk than actually on the road.

And if you are there beyond midnight, I will probably be showing up there.
