I have tried a few, and just can't wrap my palate around them. Haven't finished one yet...

When done right I find this beer not to be sour or even too tart. It'snot even relaly "salty" when done well. You have had the leipzig so you know the softness. The air of amiability in the finish of this beer. The fact that your mouth waters and to your delight it's just a hint at salt. I have had one gose form Earth Eagle brewery in portsmouth that was unbleievable how good it was. The alt was fresh, rock like mineral quality. It was bright it was crisp and it did not impart any "saltiness" to the finish that was so salty that you would have said AHA! SALT. Just a freshness and a soft mouthwatering sensation that you could not place easily if you did not know.

I think Martin House's Salty Lady will quickly climb the ranks of sought after Goses if they start canning it next year.

I am not sure if people know, but Anderson Valley is coming out with a blood orange goes soon.

Rapp gose is my favorite traditional take on the style, perhaps I'm a homer but I think its better than Westbrook's gose.

Cigar City margarita gose is my favorite overall, please find a reason to make this again, the strawberry margarita gose was a good start.

I can only remember having 2 Gose over the last couple of years and I enjoyed them both. I enjoyed the Choc Signature Series Gose more than the Boulevard Hibiscus Gose, but the floral aroma and slight sweetness in the Hibiscus was definitely interesting.

Also, I used to love Westbrook Gose but it has a strong metallic after taste that really bothers me. At least to me that is. But don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad Gose or anything.

westbrook is awesome but my favorite (which I bought a case of Saturday and drank half of it) is Anderson Valley the yink, kimmie and the holy gose. man I love that beer. the sam adams one I had a few years ago was actually really good too. besides the av I can get ordered by the case, its hard to come across this style unfortunately, because it is one of my favorites. I get westbrook once in a while in nyc or in a trade which is a treat, but I wish more breweries over here would distribute them or brew them.

When I posted a few weeks ago on this thread I hadn't tried Rapp gose. Since trying, it has taken over the #1 spot.

Lost Nation Brewery in Vermont has the best Gose I have ever had.... Doesn't hurt having Hill Farmstead just up the road as a fall back:slight_smile:

Boulevard's Hibiscus Gose is really solid. I'm a huge fan.

I've only had Ritterguts, Westbrook and Boulevard. I liked Westbrook the most, but it's also the most sour.
