Had a 2nd bottle last night, not a patch on the 1st one where the hops meshed, this one seemed like they were all clashing with each other. Quite murky too even though i was really careful pouring it.

Just had my last exam yesterday so I can finally return to alcoholism
Moor Top is actually very boozy for 3.6% abv, quite good though but not great I have to say.

Every day is the weekend! I'm currently enjoying Curious Brew - the fruity NZ hops are quite nice.

That's the spirit. Once the kiddies are finally down I'm doing a little comparison between I Hardcore You and Hardcore. Mmmm.

Dammit - now I'm jealous! I had I Hardcore You a couple of years back and thought it was fantastic. When Brewdog released this latest batch I seriously thought about ordering some but couldn't justify the shipping cost. The other component beer, Mikkeller's I Beat U, is currently available in York but at an eye-watering £5.25 a bottle. The shame.....

Pricing of beer at festivals is a controversial thing. We were involved with Melton festival and being self financed were able to set a fixed price per pint over the whole range. It's so much easier for both staff and customers but CAMRA won't allow this in festivals which they finance. This on the grounds that customers would go for the stronger beers and neglect the weaker ones. We found no evidence for this AT ALL. Also we didn't charge for entry n another factor to bear in mind when pricing.
Back to the OP , being in Norfolk over the summer my drinking is dominated by Adnam's -have had Southwold Bitter aplenty, Broadside, plus the occasional Ghost Ship which I rather liked. Plenty of GK around (all my clubs are GK dominated) plus Woodefordes. VERY expensive here with session bitter around £3.20 a pint. Almost enough to drive me to bottled beer but unless rained in I won't weaken. But I have enjoyed a Thwaites Tavern Porter and a couple of 1845s in the rain !

Had an incredibly drinkable pint of Butcombes Bitter today in Bristol. It had a casque mark "cool cellar" (or similar) sign above the clip so it was amazingly refreshing and thirst quenching.

What Dorothy Goodbody Stout may lack in 'coolness' it more than makes up in character.
