At $10.50, you paid too much but still it sold out.
This was the best buy in NYC/Brooklyn but sold out too.

They actually got it in a few hours after I went, but I'm not much of a coffee stout guy.

Sam the Beer Man had it in Binghamton last week. My buddy picked up a bottle for me. $9 each, I assume no limit.

I traded for 2 bottles of it in the past year - still with the yellow wax. There were complaints of infection and/or spoilage on some of those waxed bottles. Anyway, the first one I opened was a revelation. At the time I thought it might be the best beer in the world. The 2nd one, which I had recently, was a disappointment, so I wonder if it was contaminated.

Anyway, I picked up 6 in Westchester (at the loathsome price of $11.50 per, but at least there was no limit). This release has no wax, so I'm hoping all will be well. Going to crack one this week and if it's like the first one I'll see if I can put some age on the rest. Not too big a coffee fan anyway, so I'm not concerned about it losing some of that flavor.

Was hoping to try this at Ginger Man today when I got into the city but it looks like it is already gone. Bummer!

Grabbed two bottles @$9 each. Had one, mediocre at best. I shoulda grabbed more JA Vanilla Framminghammer instead.

The Armonk Deciccos has them for 9 bucks, but I didn't leave many in the shelf. They said they plan on getting more.

Stopped by Beer Table in GCT earlier for some other errands...figured I'd take a peak at their selection - $18.99. I don't think that surprises anyone, though.

Two different beers my man, though I pounded the Framinghammer set this weekend and damn was it good. Out of curiosity, what did you feel could've been better with Bomb!? Serious question.

Wow, best I saw was $8.50 at Bed-Stuy Beer Works, worst was $12.95 at Bierkraft. $18.99 is a whole other league.

What other Prairie stuff did Sam have? I may have to make the trip down.

I barely picked up any vanilla and no chiles at all. I'd be better off buying a Breakfast Stout 4pk for the same price. It was mostly coffee and more roast than chocolate. Just not worth $40/4pk IMHO.

I'm gonna agree. May just be this batch, but the draft I had last wk pales in comparison to the bottle I got via trade a few months back. I remember it being much chewier, a bit more sweet, and having a lot more heat.

I see your point. I had it on draft earlier this week and the chile was in the finish. Vanilla was very faint, but the body was amazing - cocoa powder, quite velvety. It's an exceptional beer by my standards, but I understand what you're saying.

Yeah I've only had it once on draft, so need to try it again. But based on that experience give me MC any day
