If you can't hit Comrade, check out Station 26, they have won for their cream ale, and I believe their Single Hop Citra if I'm not mistaken. I enjoy their IPAs, second to Comrade for local brewery beers.

But like others have said, check out Fallingrock, Freshcraft, Euclid Hall, Star Bar, World of Beer, all within blocks of each other in lower downtown Denver and likely all to have great local or Colorado IPAs on tap.

Backcountry Double IPA is from a brewery up in the mountains, but can be found around town and one of the best IPAs in the state as well.

Dry Dock's Double IPA is great as well (even better than Hop Abomination their single IPA)

Technically, is Crooked Stave a brewery?
Station 26 has a good IPA or two
With such limited time, the best bet would be tap houses: Falling Rock, Freshcraft, Lucky Pie, Colorado Plus

Freshcraft always has Odell's Myrcenary on tap, Falling Rock probably has some Russian River.

For IPA's I think Station 26 and Comrade are two breweries putting out the best hoppy stuff in the city.

Agreed 100%. Lowdown is up there as well. Beyond those three, you have to go to Ska (Durango), Backcountry (Frisco), Elevation (Salida), and Odell (Ft. Collins) for a new-school hop fix.

If you're on the hunt for a good IPA I'd skip Beryl's (good stuff, but not hoppy), Jagged Mountain (too inconsistent and pricey), and Renegade.. Strange's 1000 barrel (pretty close to downtown) is awesome and you can't go wrong with Station 26. Trve's & Lowdown's hoppy beers are also some of my favorites.

What's a great at beer store around downtown that would sell Odell ipa? Is that something that's hard to find?

It's everywhere, not hard to find. But if downtown, hit up Mr. B's.

Seconding Mr. B's. Argonaut has a decent selection as well, but Mr. B's is my spot.

Still DuganA season...and Boulder's closer than any of those admittedly excellent destinations.

True, I just meant year-round. Dugana is damn fine, though. Maharaja's pretty solid, too, although (like some of GD's hoppy beers) it feels like they've changed it.
