Ive been collecting individual beer bottles since i was 18yrs old. I just turned 25. I am sitting at 970 beers and counting. My goal was 1k bottles, imma surpass that & then some. What should my 1000th bottle be? I live in NW (pdx) and i am in need of some help. Trades are welcomes...thanks

The real question is where do you store all of them? I have like 10 and am running out of room. I just tossed some GI bottles for that reason.

1000 is for wimps . . . go big or go home, Bell's Batch 10,000 for your 10 thousandth. Stay the course, only going to take you until you're 88.

This is what I was thinking. I had around 200 saved but they took up so much room. I got rid of almost all of them when I moved last July.

Joking aside, how about something from 2005, fitting as that's when you started? Maybe a 2005 GI BCBS. Maybe your first bottle you ever collected. If "age-able," one from 2005, if not just the one you had.

I've saved one of everything I have had... shove them in the attic. Well over 1000, tons of boxes. Had a grandiose vision for them all, but don't think I'll get there. Probably end up renting a truck and dumping at a recycle place, hoping they will pay.
As for your 1000, I say something form hotd vintage...

Same here, I had about 50 bomber bottles in my kitchen and they were taking so much space I had to toss them all out!!

That is one of the reason I tossed all of mine out! Every time I see that show it makes me feel like cleaning my place!!!

Honestly, I'm not one to talk. I do keep a few bottles of some of the more memorable beers I have had, but I keep all the labels I can remove. I have hundreds of those.

I have 65% stored at my parents garage. And the other in my storage shed at my tiny apartment. Yes takes up a shit load of room. Once i settle, buy a house w/mancave will display them. But until then, just boxing them up and stacking...
Sad, but i do not have a bottle of Abyss. Ive tried it on tap every year since 2010 but never bought the bottle. Hotd i just have fre ruth adam, so a vintage would be tits. Just looking for a memorable beer that's worth praisin later in life. PtE, ive had like 7 bottles & about 10 pints of it on tap; couldnt wait. Younger, tried about 2 pints of it this last feburary, shame they dont bottle

I love you for doing this. I could never have the space, time, or dedication to pull off owning 1,000 different beer bottles.

I have 1 bottle. Stone's BBA Coconut Macadamia Porter I won in their raffle for it. Kept only because Greg Koch handed it to me himself and was acquired on my 30th birthday. Everything else gets a picture taken of the bottle and the beer in a glass. Simple, easy memory storage!
