First bottle, did a normal pour and got nothing. I've poured 2-3 more since very aggressively and they've been responding nicely. Doesn't taste flat to me, just no visible head on the first one.

I think the peppery bite does a lot to mimic the carbonation in this one. It's not flat, but it's certainly not a Brett beer.

Dragon's Milk w/ Chiles was one of the worst beers I've ever had. I know that's an extreme opinion, but I tend to like a little heat in my beer, so I don't think that was the problem at all. BB Mayan Mocha is leagues better.

Yep, it's apples to oranges. Rotten, weird tasting apples to delicious near-perfect oranges.

Def let the BBAIMM warm up to at least cellar temp. I didn't know what to think of it at first but once it warms up it is pretty damn good! I love the habanero character and the bigger, stickier mouthfeel.

Pulled a nice stash from the local shops, great improvement over last year. Now that the bar has been raised, set, and leaped, what's next on this level from Oddsides?

    BBAIMM>BBAMM>MM

Though BBAMM and MM were very close. BBAMM has fallen off significantly IMO. Fresh I thought it was incredible. Now it's just a shell of its former self.

I saw a really fine head about an inch high, almost like it was nitro. But yeah, not much carbonation in the mouthfeel.

And probably a little gritty from licking it off the driveway. :grinning:

After having another one a few minutes ago, I think that the habanero is just a little stronger in this than I would prefer. It's good, and far from being too spicy to drink, but the heat is right up there at the front and kind of masks some of the more subtle flavors. Still excellent either way.

The one I had last night didn't have a lot of carbonation by any means. I poured a bit aggressively after reading this thread and was able to get about 1/8-1/4" head. I wouldn't say it was flat, but by the end of the glass I didn't get a lot of carbonation mouth feel.

This is something I wondered about. I love hot peppers and spicy foods, so my tolerance for such is generally higher than most. To me, the heat was of course discernible but still light but more than the normal Mayan. I was wondering how many people would enjoy the normal but find the increased heat a bit too much.
