4 elf party 2014

Anyone else surprised Dark Horse hasn't announced anything firm about 4 Elf Day yet this year? Last year I felt they announced it a couple months in advance in addition to the beers being released.

 

Nope.

 

Looks like they posted almost exactly a year ago. At least that is when the details ended up on here. You can't look too much into previous years actions as an indicator of future actions, especially with dark horse and this event. Every year has been different. I would personally rather have info closer to the event because it is bound to be more accurate of what will actually happen.

We will be making a "triumphant" return. Probably get there around 2. I am going to take a cue from you, and bring a fanny pack this year.

 

When are you guys going to start lining up? Thinking about heading out there with my tent this weekend.

Last year, my shorts scared them off long before they even noticed the fanny pack.

 

Planning on coming over from MN. Making plans based on the Dec 13th date. Hopefully they release details soon.

 

Planning on coming from ohio. Can't get there until Saturday morning if I don't get there by 8-9 is there even a point

 

Of course, to have a most excellent time at the party. Although you should catch some more Zzz's and just show up at 11am. There will be leftover bottles for sale(likely no BBPT5).

 

Anyone have any hints towards what will be avail this year outside of bbpt5?

 

i know everyone always complains about the other beers they release at 4 Elf but i loved the maple porters from last year. id be content with a return of those.

 

I'm pretty sure that once they handed out order forms they closed the gate so if you're not there by then you're SOL. Waiting until the party starts is a good plan. Setting up some trades in advance would be a better plan.

 

I see in last years thread that people brought tents and chairs and stuff. Do people kinda set up camp in line then?

 

I remember seeing a tent or two. Everyone else had chairs. Get in line, set up your spot, break out your bottles and work the line.

 

Does BBPt5 hit distro at all or is this the only place to get it? I've had it on tap in Chicago, but haven't seen bottles. Such tasty stuff!

 

No distro at all...4 elf is the only time to get it

 

the people that were there the night before sent up a few tents. just bring a chair and some beer to share. also some very warm clothes.
