Well.. thats pretty interesting, because I've not heard a peep from anyone about it. But doesn't mean much, since BCBWW just randomly showed up last year after the releases everywhere else.

Hope there's enough I can run into a couple 4 packs. Otherwise, I'm not worried, I'll rely on my trade partners to hook me up like they've done in the past for BCBS.

I'm not sure how to quantify the level of "want" for the BCBS here locally. KBS I know, Black Note, I know.. other limited releases.. sure.. this one.. I don't know yet. Could be little to nothing since most people aren't used to planning to beer shop on black friday. Could be easy to walk in after the initial rush and get a 4 pack or 2.

yeah I have no idea and I havent heard anything about the abv or other stores talking about it. Guess it all depends on how much gets dropped in ATL and what the price is.

Yeah, people around town, all but the hardcore beer folks won't drop $25 a 4 pack..

But thanks for posting that, I'll have to ask around and see if anyone else is hearing we will get it.

I'm glad I don't care about BCBS and love the barleywine so I won't have to hunt and go crazy looking for any.

I was told the big bottle shops are getting like one case of BCBS and 4-6 of the BCBW. BCBS will be limited to maybe one bottle, not sure about the BW. Although, I bought a 4pk of BW last year for $20.

getting 1 bottle of BCBS would definitely not be worth leaving the house on black friday.

    BCBS isnt that limited.

I'm talking with my rep tomorrow to try and nail down more info. A lot of assumptions and hearsay being thrown out early without any concrete evidence.

That's less BCBBW than most shops received last year. Far less--a Midtown shop that I frequent got in at least 10 cases if memory serves (I was the first customer for the beer) with a two 4-pack limit (per day). And it actually lasted in much of ATL for a couple weeks--up through Snowpocalypse I, as I recall.

So, I agree that the quicker we separate fact from fiction regarding release details, the better off everyone will be.

Ehh, one bottle, they can keep it. I've got many sitting around, and I can get it easily from trading some nice folks.

I'm not wild about the barleywine, but it's tasty, so I'd love to get a 4 pack or so, like last year. It sat around and was easy to get, and even easier to get on draft.

Good to hear! Haven't had one in a few months. Put one in the fridge to drink this past Saturday night, but never got around to drinking it.

Any more verification on NC not getting any variants? I'm guessing we will still get the barley wine at least. I loved coffee last year, really would like to find this years and am willing to travel.

I'll vouch this. Had one last night. It's aging very well.

I might have to fish some out of a box in my stash and see how it is this weekend.

I probably should have known better than to post such vague detail; I was pretty certain someone would question it.
Anyway, those comments stemmed from a loose discussion I had with a stock person I deal with weekly. They'd mentioned that it was just discussed in a team meeting. I can only assume that came from someone higher.

I'm surprised about what you say about BW though. I stood in line for it last year and it disappeared quickly, at a limit of one 4pk. Where was it sitting around? I thought we got it, randomly at that, because there was too much of it elsewhere.

I still have one 2013 BCBW from last year. I only bought one 4 pack..the cost kind of prevented me from buying some of the other varients. I'm with family this thanksgiving, doubt I will try to run around trying to find a place that has it.

As far as the InBev thing...a friend of mine visited the GI brewery a few months ago, and said that the people he met were incredibly nice, and it really changed his opinion about the InBev purchase. Their staple beers are brewed elsewhere, but the specialty beers are still brewed on site.
