i had a stout not too long ago and i foolishly forgot the name of it. ill describe the flavors and maybe some of you can point me in a general direction.

the taste and mouth feel i can remember.

*vanilla, not overpowering but definitely there
    *sweet, it was nicely sweetened
*cream soda thickness, it felt as if i was drinking a cream soda
*alcohol, very low alcohol. i didnt notice the alcohol very much

i hope somebody has any idea what type of style or recommend me some good stouts in this area. thank you guys!

i had it at Carolinas italian restaurant in Garden Grove, California. i asked what it was a few days later, but i was told it was either a Ninkasi vanilla oatis. or a mother something or other? the vanilla oatis had too much alcohol taste and it wasnt very sweet. its killing me that i cant find it. it was like a dessert in a pint. and it was a 22 oz bottle

If you bought it then go back to the store you bought it from and look and when you see it it'll click. If you traded for, look at the traders you traded with and it should jump to mind.

What you are describing is almost every stout ever.

Wow. 21 Questions: Beer Edition is actually a nice way to test if OP is good at describing the random beer.

I'll be truly impressed if it's the Cali Creamin', guessed at that early.

At first this thread idea seemed ridiculous. Now I feel very confident you were drinking Mother Earth Sin Tax Imperial Stout.

The sweetness is from the peanut butter. Great beer.

    Cheers.
