Brewed 11 gallons of American wheat with heavy late hop additions of Amarillo and Simcoe. Very smooth brewday, especially considering it's the first time brewing since the baby came in late September. Nailed our 1.045 target gravity, and the fermenters are bubbling away happily with Inland Island's Colorado IPA yeast.

Brewed my first batch ever on Sunday. It is a BrewersBest oatmeal stout kit (extract kit with some grains for steeping before the boil). I additionally steeped coffee beans in the last 10 minutes of the boil and put some more in the primary (hoping to create a really shitty version of FBS).

I F'd up my O.G. reading however... the kit said to boil 2.5 gal and then add the additional 2.5 gal (to bring it up to 5 gal) in the fermenter. I took a sample from the very top after adding the 2.5 gallons of water and obtained a very watery sample that had an O.G. of 1.020 (what the kit said the F.G. should be!)... I should have shaken it to mix it all up first, but I think from now on I'm just going to boil the total amount rather than boil half and add half to the fermenter. Let me know what you think.

Yes, boiling the whole wort volume is better.

No brewing but kegged a mild. I think my taps are all set for Thanksgiving now, an IPA, mild and AK.

Brewed a Pliny clone on Friday, and racked an all jade IPA over to secondary. OMG, I'm looking forward to both of these.

Brewed an IPA using GP and GNO with Centennial, Amarillo, Citra and Cascade. Heavy on the late additions (.75 oz each CCCA @ 10, .5 oz each CCCA @ 5, and .5 oz each CCCA @ FO). US-05 for first time and its chugging along as I type. Smells quite good out of the airlock. Hoping it looks like pulpy orange juice with the use of Golden Naked Oats, and tastes tropical. Never used Oats in an IPA.

I'm trying to nail a Mole Stout so I'm doing a smallish one then an Imperial one will be racked on top of the cake.
This one was 1.065 OG, 38 IBUs. 10# Golden Promise, 1# each Munich, Pale Chocolate, Roasted Barley, Caramunich, and Flaked Barley. All treatments in secondary and will be varying amounts of Ancho, Pasilla, and Ghost Peppers, Tahitian vanilla beans, Vietnamese cinnamon, and 4oz Cacao nibs.

No brewing for me this weekend, but tonight I'll be racking my American stout to secondary on top of the vanilla beans I've been doing a vodka extraction on. I'm pretty excited anyway, my first stout and the sample tasted great the other day.

Got the ducks in a row today. Looking over the amount of hops I had left, not enough for a DIPA, so just a strongish IPA. Phoenix FWH and @30min, Falconer's Flight @10ming, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Chinook Hopstand and DH.
