Site Color Palette: Feedback Wanted

Oof...no, that freaks out my eyes. I look up from the 'puter and see lines everywhere I look. And I freak out

 

Cool, white on red works too. I prefer gold on black, but I personally like this too.

 

I really like this, keep up the GREAT work!!!!

 

Would it be possible to just tone down the "whiteness" of the main background? I know a majority like the dark lettering on white background but maybe a subtle ivory or gray would go a little way to appease those of us who prefer dark backgrounds? Also, a thicker line between posts would go a long way in terms of readability.

 

Is the background a less bright white right now or is it because I'm on a different monitor?

 

I like the white background but grey is pretty depressing. Also the box where you type a reply in could be darker. Maybe my eyes just suck but sometimes I can't see the lines all too well.

I'd go with smaller pictures for everyone above their name if possible, very large and stretches posts. Just a thought.

The opaque windows when you click on members makes it hard to read some stats on my phone, haven't seen it on a real screen yet tho

 

the text is really big (this might have already been covered in a separate topic) but typically i end up zooming down the page just to be able to see more posts. right now the majority of the page is filled with peoples avatars or quotes' from the prev post they are replying too. also the avatar is too large and the member name is too small - could be rebalanced.
