I would agree- If cans were 6.99, i would be more apt to purchase. Six pack bottles are 7.99 almost everywhere, why not get 8 more ounces for 'free'?

Yeah it was kind of silly to see four packs of cans next to six packs of bottles and only fifty cents more for 6 bottles.

ha, yeah, and the 12 pack of cans was like 17 bucks...cans are cool but I can get bottles for 10.99 at Chi-Lake. Is that the new fad? Cans? Seriously? Are they hot enough to charge a premium for it?

or will prices go down at all after they make money on the canned beer? also, are the cans replacing bottles? or are they going to have both options still?

It may seem that way, but people are buying it:slight_smile:

For me, it can be in a can, bottle, growler, ceramic jar, I really don't care, just give me good beer! (And to your point, I am probably going to buy whatever is the better value. I will try the can once, but if it doesn't blow the bottle out of the water, I am going back to bottles!)

Same price. I may choose the cans (freshness reasons/myths?) at the same price on Torpedo even though it is 8 less ounces of beer. Maybe a taste test is in order.

I think the pale ale is only going to be in 12 packs. Maybe I'm wrong. Bought a 12 pack at Zipps last week for 10.99. Never buy pale ale in bottles but will buy it frequently in cans. Bought a 4 pack of Torpedo as well, still don't care for it, at all.

    12pk Pale Ale cans @ $10.99 = WIN
    4pk Torpedo cans @ $7.99 = FAIL

I hope everybody see's what is going on here. This is all a ploy to grab more cooler space. Notice the big three have nineteen different packages for the same beer. Completely unnecessary, unless you're trying to take over an entire door or two in a store. Mark my words, Fat Tire and Sierra Pale will be available in at least 6 different packages by the end of 2013. Why? Because they are from big breweries and that's how big breweries fool retailers and consumers into buying the same thing 6 different ways. Next they're going to convince people that 18 packs are a reasonable package. Don't get me wrong, I like good beer in cans while on the golf course or poolside as much as the next guy, I'm only pointing out the ridiculousness of what's to come. Sure was a nice day to sit on the porch and crack a can of Brewfarm Lager today wasn't it?
