Anyone else try this years batch yet? I haven't had it before, but this bottle at least has almost no carbonation. I did a rough pour and there is absolutely no head. It tastes really good still, so I'm just wondering if this is normal.

This beer doesn't have much of a head. I didn't notice lack of carbonation. I used to hate on this beer because while I felt it was a decent beer, I thought it was overhyped. However, I don't know if my palate has changed or what, but I think it is excellent this year. Plus, I'm glad the wax is gone.

 

No wax?! That's awesome news. I always have the hardest time opening their waxed bottles.

 

Anyone know if this has made it to Charlotte or Raleigh/Durham yet? Have some friends in those areas looking. Thanks

 

As of yesterday it had not. I think it's a strong possibility it hits today though.

EDIT - for RDU that is, I wouldn't doubt that it hit Charlotte last Friday but don't know for sure.

 

My buddy checked 4 different stores in Charlotte on Saturday and had zero luck so I'm hoping it hasn't hit there yet. Just wasn't sure if people knew when it would make it.

 

Great chance you'll see LP around Raleigh/Durham today. No hype train needed. This beer is that what we thought it was....RIDIC

The new arrivals section of Bottle Rev's site or Tasty's site is usually the absolute first place that stuff shows up and is a tip-off. It's usually on one of those before they actually post in on social media.

 

Gotcha. Sometimes Bottle Rev gets into the habit of listing some items that are imminent but aren't in the store. Don't see it on Tasty's site yet. I'll give BtlRev a call shortly.

Perhaps habit was the wrong word. I've had 2 circumstances where this happened. I am not here to bad mouth Bottle Revolution... I don't only routinely shop there, I'm also a member!

Bottle Rev and Tasty are the best bottle shops in Raleigh IMHO. I still remember the days when Sam's Quik Stop and Total Wine where the only prevailing options. Still love me some Sam's when in Durham. I'm rambling now, happy hunting Lindley Park everyone!

 

Got a couple of bottles at Salud here in Charlotte. I also saw on instagram that Good Bottle got some too.
