County Boy has a small tap room. They have a variety and guest tap list also. They fill growlers of there non barrel aged beers.
The only place that allows you open outside bottles is the bar in my man cave.

 

I got a couple texts from @Mipper while at work saying something odd is going on. While I wish I could take credit for these two boxes it would be insincere. Those boxes didn't come from me. I think something shifty is happening here.

Well I don't know about you but I can put any name in the sender when I make a label. I think someone is going to great lengths to have this blow up in our faces, and I think I know who!

Let the WED evening Pr0n continue - Sent out some unsolicited Night Shift to @Lehighace06 a few weeks back, and took some serious return fire tonight:



Dude hit me back with ALL beers I've never tried before, 4 of which were officially on the "wants" list, but all 6 were legit beers I've been hoping to take down:

Oh don't be coy you FIB so-and-so, while these were landing at your doorstep, you had already dispatched troops not only to @Houser but to me as well.....

Overhead shot of the swag, there were actually FIFTEEN of the Jameson tshirts... apprently @blue-dream thinks that 3M=X, because after I tell him my size is "5X" he sends "15M"... yes, FIFTEEN t shirts.


Also note that there are only 7 pieces of glassware, the 8th was decimated in that box, I hope he's not taking "doing damage" too seriously....


Finally, I get the box home and am able to photograph the liquid contents...

Daisy Cutter is a permawant, and I've never had any of these others; I wonder if he knows I'm working on building an Abduction set? Ninja vs Unicorn has been a big want, of course the Root Beer, and the Dark Horse is bottle 28 of 688 (I think, the ink is tough to read). The beer in the shot is Chicagoland shout out while going through the box, a Gumballhead courtesy of @jdhowe... or was it @PA-Michigander? Sorry, I forget. Behind that beer is the Challenge bottle. I am afraid. As much of the repurcussions (read: loss of respect from everyone I know) as anything else. The challenge will probably need to wait for the weekend, I'm already planning how I expect to accomplish different aspects of it.

Then, upon arriving home with my back weighed down by an enormous amount of beer and swag, I find a scowl on my wife's face that only gets worse when she sees I've brought beer with me. The cause for that scowl? Apprently @blue-dream believes in a two-front approach to warfare and has coordinated with @zookerman182 to bomb my office and my own porch at home on the same day...

Avondale Vanillaphant I've never heard of, but words I recently heard (perhaps it's the Stockholm Syndrome) go something like "I'll try anything with vanilla". BA Narwhal, well, of course I want this (and @Houser would be amused to know I already have a bottle of the base to do a side-by-side); and lastly Arrogant Bastard... think he's trying to tell me something?


I wanted to close this out with some declaration of impending retribution; instead I think I will humbly thank you for this overwhelming show of force, and raise my own white flag. @Mipper and @PA-Michigander were right, there is no place for a battlefield among this group of brothers. I have no choice but to accept whatever terms of surrender you demand.

 

I tried to make it 5 Wants, but the closest I could come to Beer Geek Brunch Weasel was Beer Geek Breakfast. And I couldn't resist throwing in a Sweet Baby Jesus
