You are the first to know based on this site... Still haven't seen in MO, where it is officially, yet :slight_frown: Not sure what they're waiting on, can't be any more expensive than Caldera & way better IMHO...

I'd be happy to send you guys some oscar blues if you wanna send a label. Love me some Ten Fidy. Planning on french pressing it soon with toasted coconut and cocoa nibs.

Pulled this off their facebook page:
Get updates about events and happenings in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana (we don’t distribute in OK, AR or LA yet, but we will someday!)

Of course "someday" might mean 2063, but it still sounds better than the day Bell's scoffed at the suggestion of coming here.

Would make sense. How does their stuff get to TX? Through NM? Hell no. It travels out from I-70 then straight down I-35 right the through OKC. Ain't that a bitch?

Plenty of great beers traveling through this state with no stops here. I'm hoping competition will wake brewers up to the idea that this is a vastly under served state...

It really doesn't surprise me that you will now get it. With the Austin brewery about to come online (in 2 months), they will have a lot of extra capacity to serve other states.

The Austin one only plans to serve the TX market to begin with. Then they plan on it serving neighboring states to TX in the more distant future - so basically NM, OK, LA as well as TX.

About time. Ten Fidy & Pinner are in rotation thanks to sales in MO & AR. I think they will do well

I agree Russ, they will do well here.

I was hoping sooner, but the owner of my local shop said "End of the year" for Oskar Blues. She said Magic Hat was on its way soon for what it's worth. Too bad it's not the other way around:slight_smile:

I'm surprise Magic Hat isn't there considering it's basically just contract brewed with Pyramid.

From what I've heard from my man at OBI, they're definitely targeting the OK+ release for April like the article mentioned but of course that's if everything gets approved & posted correctly. I always liked Magic Hat's stouts (Feast of Fools & Heart of Darkness) but I haven't had either in a few years. Cheers!

They (MH) are not the brewers they used to be. Mostly all I see around MO is that insipid #9. I can't even remember if they were still on the shelves in NC last summer, so many better local/national options available now.

I'm sure they'll do well. I'm just afraid that due to the way the distribution is set up around here that quite a few of OB's more limited release products are going to be $2-$3 more expensive than they would be in AR or MO. If that's the case and Ten Fidy ends up in the $17-$18 price range for a 4-pack, I'm in AR & MO enough for work that I'll just pick it up there for $12-$14.

Even if they don't make it in April, OB & OBI would be fools to not have it in state by the middle of May since that's when OCBF has been held for the last couple of years and there's usually a lot of tap events in the city the week before where they could showcase a new-to-Oklahoma brewery.
