What beer are you drinking now? #754

Congrats, 15 years is quite an achievement. I know as my wife and I celebrated our 15th in July. Cheers.

 

Enjoying my day off with a Grey Sail Captain's Daughter. The picture is recycled because I'm drinking this right out of the can, and the hops seem to be more present from the can than it was in the glass when I had this the other day.

 

Another great beer courtesy of my son down in Texas - Real Ale Brewing Co's Brewer's Cut Grand Cru. On the pour, a nice, thick creamy head the color of wheat. The first sip had an initial malty flavor, followed by a sour taste - my taste buds screamed sauerkraut. I think this would be the perfect beer to have with grilled brats! It had a mildly bitter finish. All in all, deeelicious!

 

Did you ever get hooked up with a Wulver? If not let me know I've got a few left.

So mother nature decided to get funny and drop 16" of lake effect snow east of Cleveland while leaving the rest of the region with flurries if that. Just shoveled enough to move around, now warming up a bit before waking the snow blower from its summer slumber.

It's great, but I like Big Eye better. I love that 'pine' taste it has.

 

Some Dark Star HopHead on cask and then some Oakham Citra. All good.

Just reviewed BrewDog's - Paradox Smokehead, BOD 8/8/08. Even with 6 years of age, this one is still great (4.28). When thinking of old greats, it's hard to beat Ian Anderson's (Jethro Tull) Locomotive Breath when you have scotch smoke breath...

 

Came home to a couple Tree House growlers sitting on the porch, and they were already cold enough to drink due to the lovely weather here in Illinois. Cheers BA.
