Tried this for a low-ABV option earlier.

Meh. I'll try it again with some syrup, but I'm not impressed with it straight up.

Cheers BA's! First Swami's for me and canned 16 days ago is nice. Super piney tropical with a nice bitter finish. I could see drinking these at the lake.

That was earlier, this is now. I was going to go to a friend's early Thanksgiving party. Looked like a great time.....but I decided to stay home with the kids, instead. Doesn't mean I can't celebrate.

I originally planned on enjoying some Sierra Nevada Celebration in this little 16.5oz glass:

And then decided that, if you're really going to celebrate, you should really celebrate, @TongoRad style with a big honkin' mug!

Now that's more like it; cheers!

All this talk lately of Fresh Hop / Wet Hop got me to think a bit about hops...just in a totally opposite direction.
This one's almost 2 years old - and it's pretty damn tasty!

    #2 from my "tick pack"

    Goose Island Honkers Ale...

Reminds me of a light brown ale or a Michelob Amber...light malt, caramel and honey sweetness...everything is light. For a 4.3 abv this makes for a nice session ale that most could easily drink several of. Nothing I would go looking for but a very easy, pleasant drinking English Bitter.

Really hoping for a thanksgiving bomb next year with gravy and cranberries added. This is really good too though.

Santa Fe State Pen Porter. Really like this brewery from New Mexico. In fact, I might prefer it to the SN porter, which I thought was extremely good.
