Prairie Bomb in NY!

    I had MC on draft at Stag's Head the other day and also found it underwhelming... maybe it was the draft lines or something but it just wasn't great.

    Picked up 2 bottles recently (Bierkraft) and agree with previous commenters that it doesn't seem to be what it was in year's past. I've traded for it previously, had both orange wax and pink wax. With this batch, the unwaxed version, I got no heat/chilies and no vanilla. It was basically a chocolate stout. It wasn't bad by any means, definitely drinkable/enjoyable enough, but certainly not the beer I remember trading for a year ago. At $10/bottle, or $40/4-pack, I'll stick to Breakfast Stout at $13/4-pack and call it a night.

    Sorry, I was referencing what most people in the thread got it at, $10 each. But you never get it for what most people are getting it for when you buy it at Bierkraft…I also paid $13/bottle. Sorry for the confusion.

    It's either batch variation or people are just now realizing that this beer isn't any good.

    Actually Prairie does not make this beer. The Willows Family Ales does. They contract brew at the Prairie brewery now but hope to open their own place in the future. The duplicate listings on BA add to the confusion. They need to remove this beer from Prairie's listings. FYI @ThatsThatDude

    Agreed. $9 at DeCicco's in Brewster, NY. Priced right for this area IMO. I love Bomb! so this is great news. They have Christmas Bomb! as well...but that is getting less than stellar feedback.
